I'm afraid with so many injuries , they are not going out to lost for better draft position but if Dew don't plan probably they will be trashing coming up. Hopefully my reverse thinking work the same as vs Sydney .

WE have been rubbish for 4 months, the only blip in this time was the Sydney win. The trend is a horrible one of belting after belting. The hungry lions will put us to the sword as will the Cats.

We have taken a big step backwards this year based on results, I don’t buy the whole travel story, that was months ago and shouldn’t be impacting current performance. NBA teams travel all the time.

Anyway I can live with the results if it’s one step back to go 2 steps forward next year. However if we serve up this trash again next year I will be questioning Dews coaching ability as atm I’m not seeing anything to say we are setting a foundation

The Suns have set the record for traveling the most distance of any club in AFL history, which will never be beaten. The Suns also have the longest injury list (plus we don’t have a 46th listed player, hence fewer than 30 players have been under consideration each week.

Darcy Gardiner is out so our 3rd tall might get an easier run of it...

Do we have a 3rd tall? Nick Holman?

I think Leslie should play on hipwood

if kolodjashnij holds his spot over scrimshaw i wouldn't blame jack if he left this offseason. he was absolutely dreadful today.
Don't you realise the coaches are playing KK out of position!! He is a running half back flanker not a KP defender. They are ruining his game style expecting him to man up on bigger bodies and just defend defend.
The midfield has a lot to answer for allowing the opposition to win the centre bounces bombarding our defenders!!
Geez give the kid a break!!

I am aware of this but I stand by my thinking. The facts are we have been very poor for 4 months.

How long does travel effect the team, 2 weeks, 2 years, 2 decades. It’s an excuse to justify how bad we are at the moment IMO

i agree, he shouldn't have been playing on riewoldt. i think leslie should have been back there with crossley the lone forward. when they moved him off riewoldt into the more halfback role he was still pretty poor (i don't doubt that the time he spent on riewoldt probably hurt his confidence).

agreed that the mids need to be more accountable, and probably the coaches to an extent by trying to play man on man for over a half of footy against the top team (took them a while to drop a man back in defense). reality is kade hasn't found his heights from past seasons when he has played this year, his concussion played a part in his form too probably. if he's not performing and we have a like-for-like replacement playing well in the 2's, he needs to have a spell.

So what's his p

So what's his position, because I'm genuinely confused

Don't think anyone thinks Kade is a tall defender
Not too many alternatives though with all the injuries
He had a big vertical leap at the combine from memory so in theory could play taller than his 190cm or so.

Clearly not his game style.
Was a bit mystifying why we persisted for so long with him on Riewoldt though.

Haines did mention we are going to pumping huge dollars into player welfare/development and create a culture that the players have everything they could possibly need. We are apparently #3 in the AFL for $ spent in this area at the moment & we will be #1 next season.
If we are already number 3 then I would suggest the money it’s the problem it’s the way it’s being spent.

Watching training last night was as frustrating as it gets , it was like game day we couldn’t hit a target to save ourselves but not one coach pulls them up on it , so training continues at a below average stranded , this has to change for an elite team in Aussie sport.

How was the marking? Were they dropping as many as they do on game day?

Completely agree. Disposal was horrendous. They need to bring in the old rule of miss a target, down for 10 push ups... most players wouldn’t get much training done but geez our team would be ripped

How on earth can professional footballers not hit a target. And more disturbing how can professional coaches allow it to go unresolved

It’s seriously mind boggling
