Agreed. Just checked the HS website & could not believe these scores. Deledio got a little bit of it, but I didn't even realise Tambling was playing until he had a shot for goal late in the game. Think the scoreboard said he had 9 touches up til then, as his easy set shot sailed wide.
If Tamblings game was worth 93, Carrazzo should've scored close to 1,000.

Supercoach scores

How the hell does Deludio and Tambling get SC scores in the 93s when Setanta and Yarran who kicked 3 goals and assistted on a couple of others only gets a score in the mid 70's?

Supercoach scores

Takles score very highly in SC and Tambling laid a heap.

Also there are 2300 points per match and they are spread as evenly as possible.

Irish didnt lay any takles maybe 1 or 2, also clangers cut your points a heap which is why Carrazzo didnt score as many as he should have and McLean and Betts scored highly

WTF ?

What are you talking about ? Points are accrued on the basis of positive contributions (kicks to teammates, handballs to teammates, tackles, goals, assists etc) and deducted for stuff-ups (frees against, clangers etc).

Theoretically, if a side completely decimated their opposition the team overall could rack up 5,000 SC points.

its because these supercoach things are full of crap. When your 2nd to the ball & constantly beaten & have 2 touches in a half you've played a crap match & no amount of these handbagging stats can paper mache over the fact your a hopeless player no matter how much crap your supporters can pump you up with.

Despite this, SC and champion data analysis continually throw up the best players each year with only a couple of exceptions.

Even though their scoring works often, sometimes the points they award certain players are rediculous. If you get 10 30+m kicks to advantage you'll score over 100 points every time no matter how many frees you give away.

Glad i made the switch to dream team this season. At least you know there's a solid (albeit flawed) forumla that you can rely on. Sometimes you just wonder whether Champion Data play favourites with some players...

Incorrect. In each match the total SC score for all players will always add up to 3300.

Exactly! They do the scores based on the points system, sometimes it may add up to 2900, sometimes it might add up to 3700 etc, they then adjust the scores so the total for a game is 3300.

how points are scored in supercoach:

http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/?p=help&m=pointscoring

points are awarded for positive contributions and subtracted for negative ones.

total points from the carlton v richmond game is 3322 and for the cats v bumbers game its 3327

The collective total of sc points for both teams will always be similar because there are 44 blokes sharing the footy around for 120 minutes. 3300 is a ball park figure, the average number of points socred in a game. Its not the rule.

please prove me wrong and show some evidence of this exactly 3300 theory

After necessary adjusting players would have ended up with a decimal point figure, my guess is more people had theirs rounded up than what got rounded down.

please prove me wrong and show some evidence of this exactly 3300 theory

It's in the AFL Prospectus.

Besides, the decimal point from 44 scoring players is a far more plausible explanation for a 22 and 27 point discrepancy.

Your theory:

The collective total of sc points for both teams will always be similar because there are 44 blokes sharing the footy around for 120 minutes

for a less than 1% variation is more than just a bit of a stretch.
