I liked what Galaxy had, when you completed the 121 stars you could have a Luigi save file playthrough of the entire game.
People might not agree but I think it was 'meh' now that i think about.

I actually really like Balloon World, even if it's just to stockpile coins.
Once I beat the story I couldn't be stuffed going back and collecting every moon piece
It's a very linear game compared to Galaxy and 3D World. If you combined Galaxy world with Odyssey then you have a revolutionary classic.
The game still rocks!! But perhaps thats why people don't return to it once they beat all the kingdoms, you are just repeating a very linear path to each level.
DLC can change that.

Would like Nintendo to release Galaxy 1+2 HD with out the motion controlls for Switch or even a Mario 64 HD remake.

I really enjoyed it. Got just under 700 moons before offloading my switch to my nephew. Only really bought it for Zelda, Mario was a bonus, not much interest in it otherwise.

Just finsished main story and I enjoyed it more than I thought it would, not the best 3D Mario title but it still fun.
The homage to Super Mario 64 just reminded me how much I liked that game better though, well atleast the DS version.
