Mummy might end up being the No 1 ruck but seriously what are his chances of giving you any decent scores. He will be lucky to score 50 on a good day as he is fairly useless around the ground which doesnt make for good scoring.Seaby is a similar type as well and theres a good chance theyll be both sharing the ruck duties too and at 280k each i would not consider either of them a bargain

I think thats an unfair assessment of Mumford. He averaged 53 in his first full season as a backup ruckman at Geelong last year.

His game time will increase by 20% and will cover more ground and get to more ruck contests on the smaller SCG, expect is average to get between 65-70 this year.

Think you missed the point entirely. Jessie White will not spend one second in ruck in 2010. He'll play at CHF with Goodes/Bradshaw at FF. in that position, he'll score a lot heavier than he has previously as a ruck.

Mumford will definitely play every game as the #1 ruck man.

White will be the third option for Sydney. Goodes will play at Centre Half Forward, and Bradshaw will play at Full Forward.

Third option tall forwards arent going to be ideal for SuperCoach. Forwards generally dont score as well as any other position anyway. Again, Bradshaw and Goodes will get the most attention from Sydney going forward. Sydney by reputation arent exactly a highly attacking side either.

Mumford and Seaby are much better options than White. :thumbsu:

Warnock, Dangerfield, Maguire, Skipper and maybe Gumbleton, Rusling, Waters and Wonna if they have no injury concerns come round 1.

Waters is still injured isn't he? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also Rhys Palmer at 307,000 ain't bad for a recent rising star winner.

Water is listed as been available by round 1 apparently he had as knee cleanup ( had the inside of his knee cleaned) either way I reckon hes a good emerg

Oh and M McGuire at $ 114 000 is a good pick up to for an emerg :thumbsu:

Cant agree with you there. When Mumford and Blake were in the side he was often the preferred No 1 ruck in a lot of the games he did play last year and was even considered ahead of Blake at times as his average gametime was at least 65% when he did play and i cant see that increasing too much this year at Sydney either. He doesnt do enough around the ground so i cant see him averaging too much more than 55-60.
Your better off taking a chance with Lobbe or Trengrove at around 180k cheaper as they look like getting plenty of gametime this year

Why would he have sour grapes?

Dude has a clear point. He couldn't get a game for an admittedly below average team, which is what he was saying. How is he supposed to jump right into a team that made the finals last season?

This is one time where a Richmond fan has called his own team out as being decisively bad yet a player who couldn't even get into their side got traded to a team that's so much better than they were? I can see his point. I had that question myself even though I think Raines has potential.

Most of the value is in the back line. But here are a few to think about

Backs: J, Hunt R, Ladson T, kennelly M, Maguire (Cash Cow)

Mids: R, Palmer T, Cotchin B, Dalziell

Forewards: P, Medhurst A, Wonnemari (Spelling) S, Rusling (Very Risky)

Rucks: Wayde Skipper (Is a dud, but could get games if Renoulf doesn't get up in time)

Is it too much to ask for Mumford and Warnock to put in 70 point games week in week out? could be a bargain basement ruck combo and allow me to add some good depth in the emergencies.

I can actually see Mumford putting in some very good games, e is averaging 50 at geelong but bear in mind he was playing very much second if not third fiddle, and would not have seen much game time. I think also playing on the small SCG will help him out, as less distance to travel means he is fresher (important for such a lump of a man) and he will be able to land more tackles.

I also think that sydney play a type of game that creats lots of stoppages, more stoppages= more ruck work, more ruck work= more taps, more taps = more points.

Warnock? well he has been hyped to the shitter and costs less than half the price of Mumford! absolute bargain for a bloke who is a giant and will be a primary rucking option.

Greenwood? Seriously....

I've got Greenwood too..LOL

Ha! Ha! :D:thumbsu:

He has to come good eventually doesn't he? :)

Something tells me to pick Raines again even though he burnt me last year.

Vossy loves Raines and Raines loves Vossy. I think they will be good for each other and Raines will have a point to prove. :thumbsu:

I'd have a look at Robert Murphy at 353k could be a good one in that price range, what about Daniel Wells at 350k odd? Daniel Kerr at 410k if fit and doesnt get suspended for a few games like he normally does.

Also do we give Trent Hentschel another chance this year at 277k?, and if training has anything to do with it i am seriously thinking about Chris Yarran, at 240k as he has looked really good at training from what i saw.

Agree entirely. I won't be putting Mummy in. My rucks are Hille, Ottens, Warnock and another rookie (Bellchambers at the moment).

Here's my cheapies;

Woenaemmari - $178k
Cotchin - $328k
Ladson - $249k
Hayden - $314k
Newton - $254k
Dawes - $260k
Hunt - $252k
Davis - $100k

I also have L. Jetta ($114k) and Trend Denis-Lane ($94k) who are both mature age and awill probably play most of 2010.

Excuse how many I have but here goes:
Backs - Gram, Kennelley, Hunt, Ladson, Sheppard from WC as a rookie (big wraps).
Mids-Kerr, Burgoyne, Cotchin???, Trengove and Martin as rookies.
Rucks-Ottens but risky as to how many games he'll play, Hille, Warnock, Trengove as a rookie.
Fwds-Franklin, Murphy, Ziebell, Watts and Gumbleton as rookies subject to him playing.

What do people think about Buddy at $467k and Rioli $418k?

What do people think about Buddy at $467k and Rioli $418k?

Got both these guys.

Buddy is burning it up the track and his season was a reflection of hawthorn's year. This year, they will improve and so will buddy. Ill wear his round 1 suspension, considering you dont actually start head to head with players in your league until round 4. He is a little inconsistent but can give you the odd 150+ game. Definately not a money maker. If i get him, its for the season (except if injury strikes).

Rioli also training well and by all reports, will play more in the midfield, which generally results in an increase in average. I like players selected in the forward line that get midfielder numbers. i.e. ROK, goodes, didak, leon davis etc...
