I have seen bits and pieces of this series on youtube/tiktok and honestly didnt mind it.They had one that just finished and despite its low budget it was pretty good.
Oh man as someone who is an all time Superman simp, The Batman nailed everything. One of my favorite movies - let alone comic book movies. (It's annoying me not having time at the moment to get through Penguin, episodes I've watched are amazing).
For the runtime, Gunn says it's under 2 and half (in response to not being 3 hours)
Gunn has a good record and he's good at managing big cast sizes - so like you said - until we see the final product. Hard to judge.
Gotta say - I haven't seen IMAX in YEARS, but this might be the one to make the trek back out for.

Massive Superman fan, so high hopes but have been burnt before
Hate the chest logo they have gone with
It’s been a while for imax for me as well. I saw Man Of Steel opening day in imax, and whilst the film remains highly flawed and they just didn’t do it justice, that opening scenes I vividly remember in imax. The Krypton sequence, particularly Jor-El riding H’Raka, was ****ing glorious.
It has been quite underrated for sometime I find. The finale was excellent overall and the final ten minutes really does hit you in the feels. Won’t spoil it incase you haven’t seen it, that was brilliantly executed.
I hope this iteration is good, but I'm yet to like ANYTHING James Gunn has done, so my expectations are at rock bottom!
Can't abide by these. Thought his Suicide Squad was awesome and a huge upgrade on the first attempt.Thought his Suicide Squad was terrible
Bit of a hot take on the trailer, I kinda wish they made a TV series for this instead of a ~2hr movie.
A decent 10-12 episode TV season for a few seasons would have enabled a lot more story telling.
MOS for me was the best version of Superman I enjoyed. Probably because its effectively combining the best aspects of the original Christopher Reeves Superman I and II into one movie. The suit looks average but this trailer was great. The decision to start with a bloody superman set the tone that this isn't going to be a happy, clappy Reeves version everyone thought. The colour palette to me is perfect, and I am someone who loved MOS and the heavy contrast look. Still another 6 months to go so will be interesting how the look develops.
My prediction, there is a 2nd suit that will be revealed mid way through, probably after the Krypton scene.
So we are talking about the 1950s here?Im a superman tragic and have enjoyed every iteration of live action Superman in both movie and tv series.

Whats to be curious about unless you havent seen them? The origin story of Superman I and the antagonists of Superman II.Curious about this, what best aspects did MOS combine?

Highly recommend you watch Superman and Superman II.

I would be shocked if there is a 2nd suit, although with that said a few trailer previews have stated that his suit in the opening seconds of the trailer is clearly damaged, so it will be interesting if it "magically" repairs itself or he dons another.
