You'd think by now the idol clue would be getting pretty specific, making it easy to find.

Surely now it would be worth the risk to go after it and use it as a power play.

It's just weak, soft as butter play. I ****ing hate it, and i hate it more each week. Like you said, the clue by now basically has to be "The idol is right here in this spot, here's a map, here's a compass, and here's a photo of the spot."

But no, instead it's "Waaah waah I don't want the clue because it'd make me a target." Smarten up. Who the hell cares if they're a target when they have a frigging idol in their bag?
It's simple

Step 1: Get the clue.
Step 2: Get the idol.
Step 3: Run that bitch.

You got the idol, you own the next tribal council. History shows that people are generally too shitscared to vote for the person with the idol anyway.

Exactly, plus you should be able to get your way within an alliance to get rid of the person you want out.

Too risky to have the idol at this point, especially when everyone has made it clear that the clue puts a target on your back.

John couldn't find it with two clues, so the others must be thinking it's not worth the risk. All it does it put pressure on your alliance.

You think they have to make a change in future seasons. Can't have every single clue being thrown in the fire. Don't think the producers envisaged that.
Thought that too. With the idol clue being turfed like that it takes that extra storyline out of the game and I'm sure the next season that features clues being given to someone will make sure the clue can't be destroyed or ignored.

Jeff has said he doesn't mind it being destroyed this season, because the family twist has added so much strategy talk to the game anyway. That's what the idol is for, to mess with strategy and to blind side people; blood vs. water is providing that.

Just read it out loud at the duel. Maybe omit a line or two to keep some of it to yourself.

Is it a bad move to read out the whole clue? You immediately get a small portion of trust from all the contestants. They will also think you're an easy target or easily manipulated so you're seen as less of a threat, like Erik from last season finding and handing the HII to Andrea in front of everyone. If you don't go after the HII and others do, those players will move up the "hit-list". You are subliminally instigating a move on a person without looking like the big cheese and getting a target on your own back. If you already had a HII on you, this could be a strategic move, potentially buying you an extra week or more in the game.

If you were to lie about the entire clue instructions and get away with it, it could be an even better play, but it is a larger risk.

I can't believe they kept Vytas.

Reasons for keeping Vytas: I want him to marry my daughter <3 he's so lovely.

Reasons for keeping Laura: she is the least likely to win of any remaining contestants. Seriously, I'd be putting money on John and Laura at redemption before Laura B.

Ok guys, let's get rid of Laura!

Facepalm.

Great stuff again by Vytas. Amazing effort really. The girls have made two completely irrational votes in a row.

I'm tipping Laura M. to make it back from Redemption. Aras/Vytas have some work to do before the first post-merge tribal.

With all due respect to Vytas, it was actually Laura M's big mouth that has kept him alive just long enough to (appears as though) make it to the merge.

Seems pretty dumb that Vytas wasn't throwing the bolas. I know Tina's supposed to be good at puzzles, but here your literally just hooking chains.

And even though Laura B's confession was absolutely cringe-worthy, getting rid of her instead of Vytas is just plain dumb. These girls aren't exactly the smartest strategists Survivor's ever seen.

Another epic episode, Survivor really is delivering this season.

Vytas, what can you say? Another flawless tribal council performance.

And for those questioning the girls moves, it's likely at this point that Tina/Katie/Monica are in an alliance with Vytas that will join back up with Aras at the merge.
