Lol'd at Monica feeling threatened even after she'd won immunity.
With good reason really, she obviously got the inkling that she was at the bottom of the alliance.

Does anyone know how "Whatup Brad?" makes any sense whatsoever, let alone is anything at all to be proud about thinking up?
She thinks Vytas was a catalyst in voting Brad out I guess.

Episode needed more Katie midriff

Her legs at tribal... yes.

I meant at that particular vote. She was paranoid that all their scrambling meant they were voting for her that night. Or at least that's what the cameras showed, and someone mentioned it in their interview.

Seemed she was just paranoid that the plan the alliance had might be shot to pieces. I don't she was worried about going, i think she was worried she didn't know who was going.

Vytas was spot on tonight when he said "2 more days can easily become 12 more days" if Tina had kept her mouth shut after Aras was voted out the alliance would have voted Monica at the last tribal, silly old woman.

Something I have noticed this season more than any other: 95% of what comes out of Jeff's mouth is the same every week. He doesn't waver one bit, doesn't add a new word or two. "Come on in guys" "Once again immunity is up for grabs" "Wanna know what you're playing for?" "Worth playing for?" "I got nothing for ya"

Thought 4 of the 5 girls were incredibly stupid in that episode - Ciera being the exception as I'll explain below. They should've listened to Vytas' rant at tribal and banded together to vote the remainder of the guys out. After Vytas was voted out, girls had a 5 (Tina, Monica, Katie, Ciera, Laura) vs 4 (Caleb, Hayden, Gervais, Tyson) majority. They should've voted out Hayden, who seems to me the lurker on the brink of an immunity challenge run, making it 5-3 with one of Hayden, Aras and Vytas gone. As results have gone now, I see Tyson making it to the end and Ciera being there as "the Sherri Goat". She doesn't seem to understand that she is in the game not because of her great challenge skills or helping at camp; she is in the game because she isn't seen as a viable threat, now or come final tribal. She is the current Laura B of the tribe. I see Caleb or Katie being the 3rd person as Gervais will be too big of a threat for Tyson in the coming weeks.

I reckon I've noticed that for about 26 and a half seasons now. :)

I'll go tally the votes.

Once the votes are read the decision is final, person voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll read the votes.

I went back and watched Borneo recently.

Most of his staple quotes are slightly different which throws you off a bit.

Revealing the votes silently, not saying 'fourth person voted out of Survivor ___, ____' until after it had been shown  He also spent a lot more time getting to know the contestants, going on rewards with them etc. It threw me off too!

Beers with Probst as a reward :thumbsu:

Probst is an awesome host, his crowd control work is great and he is fantastic at getting the desired responses out of people.

Not many hosts would've handled the Brandon Hanz thing from last season as well as he did.

But it does annoy a little at the unwitting double stands he plays between the genders, I've only noticed that since it was pointed out though and I don't think it is intentional.

I hate how he leads discussions at tribal. He should not try to influence votes with his questions. He shouldn't tell people they are on the outer, they are likely to be voted out. As awkward as Laura was , I was disgusted at how he pretty much bullied her.

Is that the one where Probst mentions how exciting Vyta's story is? That was the most transparent effort to protect a story line I've seen.

He used to just go into tribal with no notes from production and just try and get as much information for himself and the viewer. I don't think he goes in blind any more.

Not a Probst gripe, but that final Redemption Island challenge bordered on match fixing to get Laura M back into the game.

Redemption Island duels where someone comes back into the game have always been endurance challenges. That same challenge was the very last duel in South Pacific.

It was just unlucky for John.

He did it in another earlier episode, asking Laura B straight out 'do you deserve to be here?'

My main issues with Probst are:

- overly aggressive or invasive tribal council questions
- barracking at challenges
- his love of twists/returning players/hidden idols
