I enjoyed the camera work on Katie.

Brad is a real character. He doesn't seem strategic just being a leader.

Hayden!! What a guy. Can see why he won BB. I'm liking him more than I should which is testament to his infectious personality and charm.

Great opener. Loved it.

Sucks that Gervase's niece got voted out, as she seemed like an ok character, but i love that the whole revenge dynamic is going to come into it. Makes it so much more mentally deep.

Booooo for voting the eye candy out first too.

I have high hopes for this season, very interesting new dynamic. Great first episode but it's a shame that Marissa got votes out, she seems to have fire in her belly and I think she'd really work hard for her tribe, probably would have voted for Katie purely based on her efforts at the immunity challenge. There's a difference between trying and failing just simply being a passenger.

I can't wait for the first blindside by a loved one, will be epic!

Decent first ep. Brad is one of those strong characters who could get voted out before the merge because he's such a threat. Colton is still a piece of shit it would seem.

d'ahhh, I have mixed feelings about Redemption Island...it should be called Challenge Island; they go there to do challenges and get back in after they get voted off by people who don't like them for whatever reason...they should have to redeem themselves in the eyes of this group with some type of discussion/analysis about why they are there in the first place.

Anywho, its here for this season again.

Same here, I think he was worried though that a gay guy might have more in common than the alpha male "manly" men and hence side with the girls. Turned out to be an easy vote first up though.

I hadn't read anything about this season before airing so I didn't know about RI. I actually thought the tribe members voted out were going to switch tribes. It would have made for an interesting dynamic, or it would have just put a target on two people per tribe's backs straight away.

Rupert's wife will be the first one voted out by the Returning-players tribe, that is if Colton doesn't have a Brandon Hantz meltdown.

Awesome start, this is going to be a fascinating season because the dynamics wont just be tactical, you have to consider the personal element.

I've got to say that I don't like how two people were immediately voted out. So incredibly harsh.

Yep. And I think it is counter to the object of the game. The two sent to Redemption Island weren't outwitted, outplayed etc. They didn't get a chance to compete. And sending them to RI straight away doesn't necessarily make it any better because the show shouldn't be about winning challenges alone.
