When Goddard is allowed to run around unacountable only then will we see how much better he is than the unacountable Swan. Until then we just have to accept that Goddard is better and be done with it.

As i said before mate, the last time swan played loose across HB he had 48 disposals and kicked 3 goals IIRC, get a clue FFS.

Saw that game it became comical how many times the Collingwood players played ring around the rosey to get his numbers up. So what 24 eff disposals in a game well done.

Wateva dude, i stopped listening when you said you'd be happy for your no1 draft pick to play HB for his career.

Got to love Collingwood supporters, can't handle that any opposition player could be considered better than one of their own. The poll doesn't lie, Goddard is considered a better player by the majority of people.

Also if Goddard is a half back flanker that is so easy to tag then why did he tear Collingwood a new one all over the ground in GF1?

As for Swan being more talented, I've never seen Swan take a mark like this.

What happened to goddard in the second half of GF 2?, you know, when he was oppossed to a mr dane swan?, swan had 19 disposals for the half, goddard had 6. :thumbsu:

Its funny to think coaches on millions of dollars are happy to let one of the best kicks in the AFL run around unaposed. Simple fact is who'd you rather see get the ball Didak or Swan when you play Collingwood or Baker or Goddard when play StKilda?

Love these comments apparenlty there is no proof that Goddard bent over any player in GF1 as he was free yet but ready made info that Swan went to Goddard after half time in GF2.

We had our loose man and they had theirs, our loose man did ok too BTW (heath shaw), Goddard wasn't completely manned up untill after HT in GF2, after that he was destroyed, but you go and rate goddard higher than swan, i find it funny actually.

So in your your own words after Goddard played one of the greatest GF's of all time Mick and Buckley didnt feel the need to play anyone on him a week later?
Keep calling Malthouse and Buckley clowns it really is any wonder they have a job.

Who played on him then? it isn't our style to tag a HB, we shouldv'e though in GF1, if we did there wouldn't have been a GF2, there was really no need to tag goddard in GF2, he played alright for a half but the game was going in our direction, swan went to him more to shake the jones tag than anything.

You're just continuing to make yourself look stupid. Goddard was brlliant in GF1 and the first half of GF2, when the game was on the line, while Swan had very little impact. Swan only really started to get into the game when Collingwood got on top in the 2nd half of GF2 mainly thanks to Jolly dominating a much younger ruckman in McEvoy.

Goddard could only keep doing so much on his own with little support and once the dam wall broke and Collingwood ran away with it he probably stopped trying as hard while the Collingwood players like Swan got their tails up.

You tell me who played on him you obviously have been given a list of match ups that no one else is privvy to.

That's what i'm saying, he didn't have a direct opponant for the most part, certainly not a tagger anyway, swan played on him for the last half of GF2 and completely destroyed him, but what has one game got to do with anything anyway?, swan has been better for 3 years now, you're trying to take one game and say look,. goddards better, i can show you 60 games where swan was better.

So after Goddard played one of the great GF'S of all time Mick chose not to play anyone on him the following week until Collingwood were five goals up. Yep makes sence.

One of the best GFs of all time?, wasn't even judged BOG mate, you do know Goddard hasn't even won a club BaF don't you?

So please dont tell me your trying to argue it was a one off. Im not even a Saints supporter but even I can see his worth above Swan.

Swan had a stinker in that game, 23 disposals, 7 clearances, not bad for a stinker, in GF2 he had 27 for 9 clearance and 14 tackles, yes you did see that right 14 tackles, in fact, swan had more tackles than the entire st kilda midfiled combined, and you can see goddards worth above swan, just let me get a pen so i can jott down your thoughts then lol, you have NFI mate, and that's being kind.

At their bests I'd take Goddard mainly because of his versatility and influence in big games. Swan is ahead on current form which is why I voted for him.

That's the thing though mate, swans been on one leg for the last 8 weeks, and he's still been better.
