With just 7 pokemon there's no way to make a specialised team. Because if even just 1 Pokémon gets taken by somebody else then your team will be screwed. So I'm just going with a general spread to cover as many bases as I can.

Although I am mighty glad I got in early with a counter to friar tucks sand team

I've got a list of pokemon for each 'role' with some back up in case others get picked - i.e. so I don't end up picking two Fire types.

I don't mind picking multiple Pokemon if the same type.

I'm more concerned about making sure I have a physical sweeper, special sweeper and something that can block both of those.

Then I like to have a couple of Pokemon with real dangerous or onfusing gimmicks that are really hard for the opponents to pick.

Any specialised teams are really predictable. Although whoever got charizard has a beast because it's so hard to know whether they will go for x or y.

See I dunno what the 'best' is. Having the first pick in the draft put me under a lot of pressure.
