I think Jesse should remain up front and continue to develop in that role, unless of course we are completely out of ruckman. Seems like the ideal opportunity to bring Pyke back in or Currie. Which one is best in general play? From what Ive seen, Currie would get the nod slightly over Pyke.

When did Seabs do the injury? I was hearing that it happened in the warm up? Or did actually happen one minute into the game? Does anybody have any info?

Leave Jesse forward and bring in Pyke. If Pyke really doesn't cut it (and by that mean is absolutely horrible, which i'm sure he won't be) over the next few weeks, bring Currie in. Jesse leaving the forward line changes our structure too much. Don't change a winning thing.

But i would like to see whoever is brought in (sounds like it will almost certainly be Pyke) given time to make the role his own.

Reading into Roos' comments it looks like he may use Pyke and White in the ruck. Jesse did quite a bit of rucking on the weekend without being missed in the forward line. Perhaps Roos will pick and choose depending on the opposition. Either way we've got a bit of depth as Pyke is playing well in the ressies and a run in the ruck isn't hurting Jesse. Perhaps Currie can have a run too (just to please Soph)

I'd rather Milf and Pykey to do the rucking and resting up forward with Whitey having a spell in the ruck when they're up their.

Roos says Hanners is 50/50. Moore, Richards and Jude should play.

Hope Hanners comes up OK. He's been in good form. Hard to recall he's only had a bunch of senior games.

It's good to have the depth this year that we need to debate who comes in. Last year it was pretty much anyone who could walk. I'd like to see Rohan debut and a bit more of Mike Pyke (just to see how he's coming along).

If Hanners is to miss it would make the selection of McGlynn much easier. A straight swap and Jetta can stay in.

I really wasn't expecting to see 12 weeks next to Seabs.... I somehow talked myself into "sprain" mode... Should have clicked when he didn't come back on & iced the bloody thing up!!

Ah well... Should be interesting to see how much Whitey gets in the ruck. I think it'll be a good move, not like he's flourishing forward at the moment anyway. Any word on how Currie looks for a call up?

Mark Seaby Ankle Round 6 Round 19

OK we can cover this lot. Not good but not nearly as bad as the Crows who are struggling to find enough working body parts to put together a Franken-team.
