For us, Bard was decent in raising our floor, but the ceiling on his coaching ability is so low if it were a house it'd be like this:

Turns out their premiership window was just an optical illusion

I thought McKay was talked up earlier this year as a AA pick this year

Yep largely on the back of being one of the better intercept defenders statistically. Not sure where he sits now.
Looking good until about round 10 before falling off a cliff and becoming a laughing stock.

How very * of him.

Bard's grand final tonight. Wouldn't surprise me if these frauds win and still find themselves 9th come Sunday.

Veteran Essendon list boss Adrian Dodoro will formally step down from his role
After 36 years at Essendon, veteran list boss Adrian Dodoro is set to walk away completely and formally step down from his role in the club’s recruiting department.

AFL: The Midweek Tackle team reveal recent Essendon first-round pick Ben Hobbs and ruckman Nick Bryan could be out the door this trade period.
Veteran Essendon list boss Adrian Dodoro will formally step down from his role in the club’s recruiting department after 36 years with the Bombers.

The club confirmed on Friday new talent boss Matt Rosa has fully assumed all list responsibilities as part of the Bombers’ succession plan which it announced in September last year.

Dodoro, who picked his first player for Essendon in 1998 when he selected gun forward Dean Rioli as a rookie, has begun a period of leave as Rosa takes over.

He is not expected to re-join the Bombers following talks with club chiefs at the end of the season, although that is yet to be finalised.

Rosa will take charge of the club’s trade period moves where Essendon will again head to the draft to round out its young side with more top young talent.

Essendon CEO Craig Vozzo released a statement on Friday, saying Dodoro was on leave.

“Adrian Dodoro has stepped away from the Club to focus on personal matters,” Vozzo said.

“In accordance with the Club’s transition plan which commenced in November last year, Matt Rosa has fully assumed responsibility for leading the club’s list management and recruiting team during the 2024 trade, free agency and draft periods.

“The club asks people to respect Adrian and his family’s privacy during this period.”

The club has previously lauded Dodoro for his enormous contribution to the club over a quarter of a century which has included some jackpot picks on the cheap in recent years.

Dodoro found superstar captain Zach Merrett with pick 26, jet midfielder Sam Durham in the mid-season draft, Nic Martin in the supplemental selection period and Sam Draper as a rookie.

He was also tasked with finding 10 top-up players at short notice for the 2016 season after 34 players were banned for one year as part of the crippling supplement saga.

He first worked for the club in a part-time role in the coaching department under Kevin Sheedy in 1988, as the coach’s board man and an assistant coach for the reserves’ side.

Dodoro stepped up as list manager a decade later.

Vozzo said in November the Bombers were grateful for his work.

“Adrian is a highly respected life member of the Essendon Football Club and has made an enormous contribution to the club and the wider AFL industry during his time in football, including assisting to navigate the club through unprecedented and challenging periods,” Vozzo said.

“Throughout his time at the Bombers, Adrian’s commitment and passion to take the club forward in its list management and recruiting, has been unquestionable.

“Some of the champions of Essendon have been identified and selected by Adrian, and we will always be grateful for the important and enduring role he has played.

“On behalf of the entire club we would like to acknowledge Adrian’s selfless decision and we look forward to his ongoing contribution to the club.”

AFL: Midweek Tackle delve into Essendon's list conundrum - and figure out what they can do in order to rise back up the ladder.
Dodoro has continued to lead the club’s contract and re-signing work over the past eight months.

Rosa, who is highly-rated by the club after joining from Peel Thunder in the WAFL, has worked alongside Dodoro this year.

Essendon has acknowledged it needs to continue to add more top talent to a team which hasn’t won a final in 20 years.

The Bombers secured three free agents, Ben McKay, Todd Goldstein and Jade Gresham last year, as well as wingman Xavier Duursma from Port Adelaide.

The club needs to win its last two games against Sydney on Friday night and Brisbane in round 24 to be a chance to play finals.

Sheeds gone one day then Dodo the next.

Sounds like they were both had a tap on the shoulder and given the lemon and sars.

Bard bring interviewed

Only one bitterly disappointed so far in that interview.

And now talking up McGrath as an elite back pocket.
Has this campaigner been drug tested because his comments don’t make sense
