Incidentally Petracca is said to be 185cm and 96 kg.
You wouldn't believe that is possible but just look at him, the guy's a tank.
Doesn't seem to affect his speed though.

I coached this kid in juniors, trust me he's that big and what a beast of a footballer.
I'm suprised he isn't playing basketball though as he's great at both sports.

Good to see him out there.

How did Elija Edwards go, i know he kicked 3 goals for the chargers did he show much talent?
Was lively early but like most of the Chargers faded late. Has a good goal sense and of course incredible speed but made a few iffy decisions.

Will still be a great value pick considering he'll be the Pies last selection in the ND.

Did he kick three goals?
He was hard to miss but didn't get to use his speed much.
Only seen one game so I should be careful about boxing any players in but he seems the type of player who'll have a few exceptional plays but won't get more than 10-12 disposals a game.
Plus he is my height, which makes having a significant career difficult.
For mind Jay Kennedy-Harris is the better option as an outside flanker etc.... from the Chargers.
Having said that, the kid is quick. And you get him for nothing.
Not sure about his tank though.

This kind of assertion is useless without providing some valuable reasons why this is the case.

Encouraging kids to leave home clubs to those that are closer to a TAC cup team is criminal. Then to have the nerve to ask 15 year olds to fork out thousands of dollars to help there chances is a joke. The AFL is rolling in coin to then ask young kids to somehow find this money or theyll be disadvantaged is ridiculous. Parents are already driving kids hours each day to keep up with the extra training.

I have no knowledge as to the amount parents are expected to pay to see their kid play in a TAC Cup team.
Needless to say the alternative is likely not being drafted.
However, if there are significant fees to pay then it does seem to advantage the kids with parents who can afford such fees rather than kids who can't.
I assume there would be some fees involved but I remain ignorant as to how much TAC Cup clubs expect the parents to pay.
Regardless, this occurs so much more in the US than it does here.

Parents are given a very hefty price list as to what each amount of money gets there child. For example an extra $2000 will get them extra time with a dietician 1500 will get the 5 hours extra specialist one on one coaching. Completely unfair to divide the have and have nots.

Poorest Calder side I have seen in many years. On-ballers non-existent. No drive from the middle, no flash and very little get up and go. Rd1 only but might be a long year ahead. Lacking Cooke and few other talls but not much to bolster the middle 4.

Out of the 6 Metro teams on show today it was generally a sorry state of affairs overall. Sandy the pick of the bunch.
Cauchi aside it was a pretty uninspiring team wasn't it. I liked Touk's work around the packs but not much else. They were completely overpowered by the Knights bigger midfielders and the scoreline would've been a lot different if it weren't for Northern's kicking.

Oakleigh are going to struggle without Macrae and McDonald, pretty much drove them into the GF last year. Both averaged about 33 touches a game in the finals last year. Billings is more of the icing on the cake, he's a bit inconsistent, he's not going to get the job done for them across the whole season....

McDonald was their best underager and going to be their prime mover in the middle this year.

Pity he's now the prime mover for Werribee. Will be interesting at the champ's though.

Bullshit its a wank and ruining local clubs and discriminating against kids that arent as financial as others.

If you think it's a serious issue (and you obviously do, since you've posted about this stuff on a couple of threads now), then make a separate thread to discuss it rather than cluttering up the season 2013 thread.
