Don't go to Google, don't go to any stats websites. Who has laid the second most tackles this season for North Melbourne? I'll give a clue by saying its not Ben Cunnington who has tackled the most. Try not to look up the answer as it will be interesting to see how we fans perceive our players.

well thread got ruined after the first post! thanks a lot Heaps of fun . My first thought was Adams. I was surprised that it was Goldstein. It's tough to tackle as a big man and it's great to see him up there for a guy who gets criticised for 'not throwing his weight around' and being useless around the ground. Interesting to note that Nahas has the second highest average number of tackles for us, playing for his career.

I'm sorry Augustine! I think B-Tron brought it up the other day so I was only like 97% certain. According to ozzyoslo I'm Goldie's mum so I guess mother knew best in this case.

That's the tackle numbers of the top disposal players, you haven't clicked to arrange by most tackles.
Was about to say... there is definitely something wrong with the afl one because they aren't in order

Goldstein got a nice holding the ball on the wing against Brisbane.

Generally he recovers from the ruck contest reasonably well and gives us some defensive support if we don't win the initial hard ball, hence the solid tackle numbers.

Nahas would be up there on averages.

Sorry for changing the tune but keeping the beat the same.

Anyone know who out top three best kicks are?Apparently rated by accuracy, length, degree of difficulty etc.

Champion Data have come up with the results was on SEN yesterday.

Sorry if it's been mentioned already.

I would've guessed two but the number one was a suprise until I thought about it

Atley, Thomas and Harvey.

Also gotta say that we have been much better with sticking tackles this year. If the rule interpretation was the same as last year we would have significantly more holding the ball calls.

Changing the direction of the thread a little, does anyone think more HTB decisions will be made after the media has brought it up significantly this week?

One can only hope...

Hahaha........you've outed yourself there Heaps of fun......I was referring to DarwinRoo :D.

Actually I did first think it could be Goldy.....tbh. But lets face it theyre not what one would call match saving or inspirational tacking just good old fashion work rate in the congestion of the centre or boundary throw ins. Since the OP is huge on stats please tell me how many marks has Goldy had ?? and what it is per game??

And the count still stands below, 2 overhead marks. And this belligerent poster won't budge .......sorry, I place higher priority on the big fella's aerial contests.

A tackle is a tackle. And I do recall a great chase by Goldy that resulted in a turnover.
No one would disagree DR, but when people say that Goldy throws his weight around......thats another story. I have no problem with his tackling numbers/feedback and pressure at the drop of the ball. Its his marking and physicality I would like to be better, many here agree. And for the record I'm happy to see him locked to the club for another 2 years.
