Has anyone else noticed that bathroom tap water tastes better than kitchen? If i need a drink in the middle of the night, for some reason i go to the bathroom tap water, i just think it tastes better!! Or is this just another mindless drivel thread for unintelligent fools? ;)

Hmmm, watch out BB....you know who's watching....

Moos, over here in the land of Oz, our bathroom is where the bath, shower, vanity and basin are. The toilet is in a room all of its own, called the toilet (or commode)! (not the bathroom - people here dont say " I need to go to the bathroom")... think you misinterpreted me silly man!!! ;)

Yes ;)

Sometimes I use the bathroom tap water because it's closer. Don't think it makes a difference though, it's all from the same tank ;)

hey, these days I do say I need to use the bathroom...damn the Canadian exchange student :D

At least Coopers used to use water out of their natural spring.......
Which is odd because if Coopers used tap water it would explain Coopers Ale. :)

Mmmmm Coopers.

Mmmmm Coopers.

I have a feeling they no longer use that spring as most of their production these days is done at another site...........

But yep it's time for anothers one......mmmmm.....

Adelaide tap water is almost edible these days..

I remember times when I was a kid, it was so thick you could turn a glass of it over and it'd gloop out like a wad of jelly and remain solid for several seconds. Amazing stuff. ;)

Yeah well I like my hairy chest. :p Seriously it's not all that bad now. I lived in the hills and that was bad until they got filtered water a few years ago. Our hot water service element died after 3 years from all the gunk that built up around it and the hot water service had to be replaced after 6 years.

Having a tolerance for Adelaide water makes you capable of drinking the local water anywhere with no extra ill effects.

The 'what ever doesn't kill you can only make you stronger theory'? :)

Adelaide water may have been the butt of jokes for years, it was dirty but never a bacteria loaded health hazard like we saw in Sydney a few years ago.

After first moving to Melbourne whenever I'd go back to adelaide I'd always come back feeling "a little crook" in the guts. I put it down to the travelling and rushing about etc. Took me a while to realize it was the water that was doing it. And I grew up on the stuff. So since then whenever I get to Adelaide the first stop is down the local supermarket for a container of water. No problems since.
After getting use to Melbourne tap water(which is superb by the way) Adelaide tap water doesn't rate.
When I was very young and we'd go on holidays to Melbourne I could never work out why Melbourne Coke tasted so different to Adelaide Coke. I thought it was because Melbourne had aluminium cans and Adelaide had steel ones.:D

And then again, it's nothing on tank water ;) I won't drink Melbourne/any city tap water...there's just something so horrid about it after drinking rain water all my life.
