It really doesn't ones a mythical creatre the other is a creature that represents as state it's never bothered me as a demons fanYes the Orchards, as the apple isle.
The nickname Devils clashes with Demons and can be reserved for the state team.
Also the Devil is not the spirit of evil it is the state animalYes the Orchards, as the apple isle.

There’s not a lot of room between unique and cringe so keep it simple and I agree it has to be Devils with dark green and burgundyI agree with you about the jumpers, but I think the name Devils best represents Tassie. It's already part of the nations lexicon, and just rolls off the tongue.
Names like shipbuilders just sound cringe.
A Tasmanian Devil is an actual animal, though.Yes the Orchards, as the apple isle.

Can't be an another bird mascot when the comp is saturated with flying objects already.A Tasmanian Devil is an actual animal, though.
I don't think they will be the Devils because WB owns the copyright to the name and the AFL has shown in the past they don't want to rock the boat (Freo dialling back on the Dockers branding and Sharks not being used for GC due to Greg Norman).
I'm still hoping for a native animal mascot, maybe Penguins?

The Tasmanian Devil should be the mascot, but not called Tasmanian Devils exactly.
Am thinking of Orchardevils, Timberdevils or Wildevils.
