Nah, maximum points is 195 so even if we lost the appeal he'd still only get a week.If we appeal, what's the damage? 2 weeks?
I'm pretty sure body contact is 1 point so that would reduce it to a reprimand I think. However you hardly ever see it applied for cases other than striking, usually you get off completely.Exactly, the 2 points for head high contact is just wrong.
Not sure what reducing it to a body hit does to points though, would he get a reprimand?
Yeah but it wasn't a Pies player implementing the tackle stevo, seriously if you look at the cr@p our rucks and Cloke have to put up with week after week from the white maggots you simply can't have any faith at all in umpiring. The sling tackle that i saw on the weekend in another game was the worst of all of them.. but gets nothing? he could have seriously injured that bloke with the way he tackled .. could have been damaged shoulder neck ribs anything
Yeah riiiight he gets caught unawares 2 or 3 times every game . . riiiightI have no problem with Selwood falling down - he would've been caught unawares, and could easily have got knocked over. As for head contact, there's not even evidence of that. Adams also couldn't really do anything. That is a joke that they gave him head contact on that footage
A bump to the head is a fair bit worse than tripping
No argument there, but show me any physical evidence of selwood copping it to the head. There isn't any. It's all based on Selwood lying on the ground for a minute. Video doesn't show anything conclusive at all. You can't convict someone on circumstantial evidence in a court of law so don't see why they can at an AFL tribunal. As far as I know a purposeful trip is a suspendable offence is it not?A bump to the head is a fair bit worse than tripping
Since when has common sense got anything to do with the Tribunal???????No argument there, but show me any physical evidence of selwood copping it to the head. There isn't any. Just confirms for me that the tough bodied Cats of 07-11 have fallen away to powder pussies chasing Oscars instead of flags. The Selwood of those times would have jumped straight back up from an obvious 1on1 caused by his own momentum.
Shame MRP for bringing our great game down to AusKick standards.

Fair dinkum joke the AFL, how soft is that stager Duckwood, what an absolute embarrassment and he even has the nerve to pump himself up and say he is the toughest player in the AFL!
