How good was that Bad Blood / We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together mash-up?

Honestly seeing her again holds about as much allure for me as finally seeing Radiohead. No shit.

She gets embroiled into too too much politics for me but some of her music is good. I wonder what her breakup song is going to be now that she is no longer with Calvin Harris

Really? She tends to get criticised by activists for not being political enough. An article a couple of days ago ran the "she has 100 squillion twitter followers...why isn't she telling us what to think??!!" line.

(I support Swift in this btw. There's an annoying trend these days of almost bullying celebrities into supporting campaigns or making statements on issues, even when they may not want to).

I agree, I am over celebrities trying to tell us who we should vote for or the campaigns we should be supporting.

Well when I say politics as in her relationship break ups and stuff. she is in the news for that just as much as her music.

I think it's unlikely she would want to get involved in anything political as such.

Scathing lyrics to the track, which she penned for country band Little Big Town, include: “But your jealousy, I can hear it now / You’re talking down to me like I’ll always be around.

“You push my love away like it’s some kind of loaded gun / Boy, you never thought I’d run.”

Another verse goes: “I know I’m probably better off all alone / Than needing a man who could change his mind at any given minute / And it’s always on your terms.”

Taylor also writes: “I gave you my best and we both know you can’t say that”, before closing the song with: “We might still be in love, if you were a better man.”

The band revealed Swift was behind the song, having built up a rapport with the group on her 1989 tour, when she invited them on stage during a gig last June.

Lead singer Karen Fairchild explained: “It was one that was really special to her.”

It was released on October 20 — plenty of time for Swift’s creative juices to flow following her split from Calvin in May.

It sucks. Uber-generic lame-pop.

It sounded like a Haim song so much at first, I was waiting for her to start singing.

It's becoming clear she wants to be in that 'cool pop' demographic, so her next album'll basically sound exactly the same as every other pop artist. It is disappointing considering the talent she has and the way she owned 1989, and retro-indebted as that one was.

Taylor Swift makes absolutely pedestrian rubbish "music". Only up there because she's good looking, yet she's still gone and had plastic surgery done at 25 years old. Good on her for exploting the masses and making a fortune. Can't blame her for that.
