This needs a thread. Bombers player who couldn't quite make it at Essendon and was pushed out by Sheedy. Managed to turn his career around and become one of the premier back men in the comp.

Was very happy to see him and the Swans win. Well done Teddy!

You've gotta love him, he didn't leave because he thought he was too good for the club. He left because the club thought it was too good for him.

Well, Sheeds in particular. Richards had his fans at the club. And in the supporter base.

Fantastic and much deserved achievement for him.

Love the bloke! Happy for him

But gee whiz thank shitt he didnt fall off the fence, standing on there in just his socks! haha could have hit the deck quite easily!

Buddy kicked 3.4 and one on the full. that's well beaten.

Just an aside, but Buddy would have to be the worst kick and mark combo of a great FF ever. Set shots are a lottery and his hands in a contest or a hard lead are hopeless. I'd take Lloyd any day.

The game pretty much sums up his career.

He's been a battler all his life and was mauled by Buddy. Lucky for him the Swans had 2 and 3 on Buddy at any one stage to try and minimise his influence.

Has just scraped into AA this year on the basis of a great defensive unit and midfield protecting average KPP defenders.

Buddy had 24 possessions, 8 marks, 3.4 against 2 defenders at any stage.

One of those likeable blokes that will get rated higher due to it. There are at least 10 KPP defenders in the league better than him. He has a flag so good luck to him. There is still hope for Hooker, Pears et al.

He's not a great full forward. Far too unreliable.

Didnt Richards want to play in a certain position and was told no so he left... It wasn't that he wasn't wanted, but a just a conflict in positioning... Shame... he was a gun player too

Richards was hampered by a ankle injury for the Grand Final and as a result he could not move like he usually does.
