i get that, I just find the juxtaposition of the spanish Jorge, with the very vanilla sounding pyke amusing for some reason.

it's like the overseas students from asia who anglocize their first names so they end up with something like teddie Bambang Yudhyono for example.

That reminds me of the captain of the Argentinian cricket team whose name is Esteban MacDermott.

Friends of mine named their little boy Pheonix.
Just had his 1st birthday, and still can't get my head around why they would call him that.

To be fair, Phoenix looks amazing in the context of this thread. I could think of worse. I know a lot of kids called Forest, West, River, etc, it slots in with those hippy-type names.

Davina is a horrible name IMO. "D" is the truck driver of masculine letters and as such I would avoid it in girls names.

Yeah, when we were deciding baby names I have to admit we didn't have any D girl names in mind.
