Thank You Essendon

Essendon, I know you have been flying under the radar lately and not getting much of a mention in the media so I thought I'd offer you a shout-out.

Honestly, thank you for giving us 10 goals today in our stirring win against the Adelaide Crows.

Exhibit A: Tory Dickson

Bang! Tory's kicking action

Stolen from Right.in.front.of.me! Tory was taken from right under your nose at pick #57 in 2011 after playing with your then affiliate, Bendigo Bombers. Reports at the time were that Bombers & Co were "dumbfounded" and didn't know what to do next when we acted on advice from Shannon Grant to take him.

He kicked 6 goals today. Thanks!

Exhibit B: Tom Campbell

Tom, looking more attractive than that Daniher freak

Rookie pick #27 in 2012 from your affiliate Bendigo Bombers, Tom is a 21 year old kid playing his 10th game of AFL football, kicking 4 goals as well as assisting in the ruck. Another stolen from right under your noses and a far more masculine individual than David Hille.

I can't thank you enough for not taking care of your own backyard (or airport, whatever). Your act of generosity will be remembered for years. Again, thank you

Games at the end of the year between bottom sides don't really count for much you know that yeah?

Wrong - if we decided to tank and play for draft picks, we'd be Melbourne.
Instead we're showing some spirit, some pride, which we'll take into pre-season this year.

Last year we lost our last 11 by 10+ goals. I'll take this year over last.

Like I said don't really count for much... other than perhaps your mental health in the offseason, give or take a couple of draft pick differences.

Adelaide could have finished 9th and therefore made the finals. That game counted for them

Really.... shit!!

All seriousness I have watched a bit of the dogs of late... I really like the way you guys go about it.. no bullshit flooding just good hard contested footy and then flick it around once you have the pill.. Great to see Cooney back to playing some good footy also

Yep will be even greater seeing him run around in the brown and gold next year ;)

Who says you need a key forward...Dogs should just add to their army of ruckmen and medium forwards and make other teams embarrassed.

(just not next week)

You're welcome.

We also technically passed on Zeno Tzatzaris whose achieved more than both of these blokes combined, so I guess you just triple pwned us.

You can add Mark Alvey and make it four of a kind.

Well, we put a massive dent in Carlton's finals aspirations (who beat the Tigers on the weekend) and we also knocked the Weagles out of finals contention. So while we havent made any impact on the top of the table, we're making it harder for the interstate teams to squeeze into the 8 at the Bummers expense (should they be stripped of points)

Yes, they should!

Yes, we all know what should happen however its looking more likely that it wont. It will further prove that some clubs are above the rules for the majority and show how corrupted the system actually is.

Afterall, Melbourne were fined for tanking yet the AFL props them up with more cash to "help" them out of their situation.. go figure...

I've had that on Ritz crackers, magnificent.
His pre-game ritual included eating a concoction of yoghurt and garlic. God I'd hate to be his opponent.

Parkside's finest product.
