Thanks Armo.

Have enjoyed watching you in all of your 169 games. Age and injury, particularly the latter, are the only reasons you weren’t able to add to that figure and why you’re not in the team this week.

You weren’t the greatest player to pull on the Saints jumper (neither was the second greatest player 😉) but you were a fantastic fearless player who gave his all. And I won’t hear a bad word about you.

Farewell and good luck with the next chapter of your life.

And make sure Parker loves and excels at AFL and doesn’t drift off to some other meaningless sport or pastime 😜

Farewell Armo.
Highly regarded in the first couple of years.
I thought he would take over as the next Nick Dal, even a potential Harvs.
Guess his career was crippled by injuries.

Armo has always been a great clubman and for a year he was he best mid in the comp for 20 rounds, injury got the better of him in the end but he was still always out there working for the club, he'd line up to sign stuff for fans, have a kick with kids etc. His last couple of years have diminished how he'll be remembered but he was one of our best for a period. Appreciate his contribution and his service and loyalty. In a better era at the club and with a good injury run he would have been a superstar.

A really great clubman, and at times a really great player. Always enjoyed watching him go about it, a shame that injuries meant we didn't see him at his best enough. Cheers Armo, and thank you.

The first half of 2015 Armitage was seriously good. Averaged 32 disposals across the first 10 weeks and showed his true potential. If he had a good run with injury we would have seen more of that form, he was an absolute bull but that yeah his spread from the contest was incredible. Thanks for the memories Armo!
