I rarely go onto opposition club's forums...but I have to say that I am absolutely gutted that Hawthorn lost tonight.

You were the better team for 3 qtrs, but a combination of turnovers, missed frees & Collingwood's leaders eg Cloke, Swan, Pendlebury stood up in the last qtr.

Hodge played his absolute heart out, as did most of your players.

Just very disappointing.

This basically ^^ Couldn't have said it better myself.

I reckon I'm like many others right now - I feel like a gutted Hawks man.

That was a fantastic effort tonight. I'm just left wondering about some of those last quarter umpiring decisions. I'm not into conspiracy theories, but some things make you wonder...

I think every non Pies fan is feeling your pain at the moment.

Pretty much the whole AFL supporter base minus Collingwood were together in supporting you guys tonight. Once again bad luck, but it was a fantastic effort

I reckon the Hawks have won a lot of fans over with their efforts this year. After all of the injuries that you blokes have had it is a credit to your club that you have gotten as close as you did to a Grand Final berth this season. Buddy Franklin in particular deserves a medal for his efforts to keep getting up for the last two finals a superhuman effort.

Your blokes just ran out of puff at the end and the Pies are a fair side as we know.

You should be damn proud of your footy team guys. What a sensational effort that was. No roughead and a half fit buddy and almost pulled it off. Half of australia may follow collingwood but the other half were hawk supporters tonight, me included. Respect!!!:thumbsu:

Feel for you guys. I know how it feels.

My respect for Jordan Lewis just went up a few notches though. Already quite high after the Harbrow bump last year.

Bad luck Hawthorn you were seriously robbed by the green maggots tonight and all the money Collingwood spent sending their players to Arizona paid off Swan looked like he'd been for light jog at the end of the game.

ROBBED

Hawks - a standup team and from my experience standup supporters.

No gloating here, just relief.

Well played, seat of your pants footy.

Bad luck Hawks. Watching tonight brought back memories of our lost 2009 prelim final against the Saints, with turnovers, missed shots on goal and crucial umpiring decisions sinking the team that was probably better on the night :(

Ripping game though. Buddy's last goal brought the house down :thumbsu:

WOW What a game.
Thought you got stiffed with a couple of non decisions
just a shame someone had to lose.
Your top 6-8 players make your team hard to hate.
And that's comin from a Bombers fan.
Your boys were awesome & although I'm
sure you guys must feel gutted you should also be
very proud. Great game.

Bad luck Hawks, my 2nd fave team so i was following a lot more than just having a preference of you winning..

Lewis is such a beauty, Franklin - well what can you say..

The umpiring was shit, the Hodge non-free, Puopolo htb, the hold on Josh Gibson that wasn't called in the goal square when the ball bounced through for a Pies goal was just unbelievable.. and there were others..

Yet 2 years ago, they didn't have any problems seeing Rutten holding Jack Anthony's arm..

You ran out of legs which i think helped Collingwood sneak through some gaps that started opening up in your set ups due to players not being able to get to spots on the ground.. One link breaks down and they're through..

Damn :(
