$200,000 Jackpot this week

There wasn't a jackpot on the footy Quad on the weekend just gone. I gather you saw the headline on the front page of the TAB website advertising that the pool size is expected to be over $200K. The pool is always around $200K in fact you can check the pool size before you bet into from the footy tab website. It was very misleading what they had on the website, first time they have done it as well. (been playing footy quads for anumber of years now) Had some good success last year, however not so much, so far this year.

Note: the TAB take 25% of the pools as well

The pool size for the quad for Rd 9 was $257,623

Also, they never put up the approximates for the dividends either, however you can get them by either ringing the TAB(have to have an account) or actually going into the TAB and asking them for the quad approximates and they will print them out for you. Obviously you can only get them, if there is one remainding game after the Saturday games.

Games for this week are

QUAD
MATCH 2 North Melb V Sydney Swans
MATCH 3 Fremantle V St. Kilda
MATCH 5 Richmond V Port Adelaide
MATCH 7 Collingwood V West Coast Eagles

North 1-25 V Syd 1-48
Freo 13-60 v Saints
Richmond 13-59 V Port Adl
Collingwood 1-60 V Wce 1-25

Thats the link for the results, the betting doesn't open until tomorrow, so it will look different when that opens, however the drop down menu on the top left you can see all the results (previous results). These update probably 20 minutes after each match is completed

The pools are only up this year due to the flexi betting, I reckon a 20% increase on previously years, plus it also explains why the dividends might be sightly less then what you would expect as well.

Cheers :thumbsu:

Yeah as I said I had it in my head the pool would be doubled with the Mystery jackpot that I made up haha so its probably fair! I will have to look a bit cloer in the future. Out of interest how many would you get in a year? Im hoping for 5 or 6. Ive got two and been 2 and 3 points off on two other occasions. Hopefully I can get a run on now although this week is certainly no gimme.

I have actually kept a record of my footy Quad record since 2009.

2011 has been poor as I said, yet to get one. so I am 0/9 like everyone else I keep getting one wrong.
I always like to go for 50% of the dividend (had No choice up until this year, and normally spend between ($180-$280)

2009 I got 5/21 for a profit of $6,189.35
2010 I got 4/22 for a profit of $1,127.60
2011 I am 0/9 for a loss of ($1785.50)

Overall I have made a profit of $5531.45

So I am batting at 17.3%

Anyway atleast I am in front, will start to put my tips on each week, hopefully my luck will start to turn around ;)
