Didn't really enjoy Slaughterhouse at all. Cat's Cradle or Breakfast both vastly better.Reading Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse 5.
So this is somewhat off topic, but thought I'd hijack for a second because I need help choosing my next book.
Anyone got any good recommendations?
Here's the last 5 I've read with a couple of brief thoughts.
GAME OF THRONES - consumed this in a few nights, just so I could get into the HBO series. enjoyable and pretty addictive read.
SPIES OF THE BALKANS - Alan Furst. Got halfway before dumping.
FREEDOM - Jonathan Franzen - loved it.
THE MAGUS - John Fowles... again loved it.
MARCHING POWDER - Was a decent read, pretty interesting without 'the wow factor' for me.
any advice would be great
thanks
I'm re-reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
One of my all time favourites, I'd recommend it highly.
Anyone read it?
"Chocky" by John Wyndham. Don't bother reading it if it's on your list as it's crap.

WTF? That is so bad? Can you get a refund out of it?
I'm currently reading Patrick Rothfuss "The Name of the Wind". Excellent book and so simplistic to read. No padding or unnecessary filler like most fantasy book does.
