Yep i was a apart of it aswell

I was just to the left of you near the left hand behind post. As soon as it left his foot i stood up willing it home.
 
We had a bit of the chant going on level 1 too, the M10-M16 members seating area. Amazing reaction from the corwd when it went through, probably the highlight of the day.
 
clearly johno has issues with aker, although i dont think the feeling is mutual much. i think its just johnos ego with not being the #1 forward anymore.

and you will notice that just after the aker goal, johno was in a similar position except he had aker and another player clear in the hotspot. he shot and missed. commentators were giving him heaps, even darce.

then ball gets rebounded for a brisbane goal. 12pt stuff up.

this is not the way any player should play, let alone the captain .

Yeah i noticed that. Johnno is selfish any doggies supporter would admit it.
 
The buzz when Aker got the goal or looked like getting it was great!

What's with the Johnno bashing again? He just did what he has done for 300 games- took on a player and ran off. He's kicked 100 goals like that. So he missed! Get over it. If Aker missed that snap, would this thread be whinging about how he should have centred the ball instead of shooting for goal? I can't believe the juvenile bagging that is going on every time Johnno has a shot and misses. Watch the replay and see how many times Johnno gave it off to others today. Maybe we need Cam Wight back in the side so we stop bagging one of the greatest Bulldogs to ever play the game.
 
Hmmmm, and I thought this thread was supposed to be about Aker. :confused:

Anyway, how good was that goal - the amount of people near us that were willing that goal after it catapulted off Aker's foot was amazing and then everyone just jumped off their seats, I looked over at the end of the row where we were sitting in and saw a very pleased looking Peter Foster cheering on.
 
I was too busy cheering to join in the chant, but it was good stuff nonetheless.

Amazing goal - I was one of those who stood up immediately as it left his boot. Knew it was going in straight away.
 
I love Akermanis My Favorite Player Behind Griffen and Cooney and to think Brisbane supporters posted on there board imagine if we still had Aker".

Wrong, it was a low precentage shot and he had players free in the hot spot. In that situation all players, aker included - and aker would do it too --, should chip it to the free player for an easy goal, not try to be a hero. This man is 30yo and the CAPTAIN of the club. What message does his selfishness send to the younger players?

100% agree. Some people are only happy when they are complaining about something. What is it with this unhealthy need to have a scapegoat? Even worse when you are trying to scapegoat players in a highly successful team. We have a bloke like that behind us at the dome. He is never happy, can always find something wrong no matter what the margin and always hangs sh*t on his scapegoat of the week. We are in the midst of the most successful season almost all of us have ever seen. If you can't be happy with that then perhaps you should be supporting Richmond or Melbourne - you'll feel really fullfilled then... Geez:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:
