Haney is a good shout as a mid regardless.

how do you figure?

A Fit Beams / Rockliff / Tom Bell / Hanley / Rich to a far lesser extent / Taylor when he does his belt up and stops whacking innocent cars with it

they have a fair few decent mids

not convinced Hanley will be a top 20 mid this season

Stef Martin on the other hand interests me greatly

I'm considering Tom Lynch (GC) this year. Nearly gambleed on him last year, glad I didn't. Could average 100 this year with suns returnees.

No

Sam.mitchell maybe tho
Matt Boyd surely a monty to become a defender in 2016?
While these guys averages would be in the top half a dozen for defenders i worry about their ability to play every game. Will this be the year Mitchell gets rested more? He usually misses a game or 2 as it is. Boyd also in the last couple of years has managed 19 and 18 games. For the same reasons i almost never pick up Hodge until after the byes.

How much will he be? low 400k's? That's good as a bloke to get you to the byes. Not a lock, but relevant.

Boyd will 100% be in the top 5 defenders average wise, but he will miss atleast four games. Depends whether you want to risk him missing a big game. He was a jet this year. I think he missed one game with a legit injury (vs Hawks in Tassie). The rest were pretty much breaks for him.

Lets say Boyd averages 100, he plays 18 games, he nets 1800 points. Then you have for arguments sake KK he averages 85, he plays all 22 games again and nets you 1870 points. Of course you cant compare like that completely as you have another player filling in but i wonder which one is worth it, the cheaper player with less headaches or Boyd/Mitchell/Hodge with their rests/suspensions/injuries.

I'm really taking a liking to these guys for next year

Sam Gray - Season Average: 89 - Last 3 games: 128 (121, 138, 125)
Aaron Hall - Season Average: 79 - Last 5 games 121 (150, 127, 139, 95, 98)

Hopefully they're around that 350-400k price
Will they be fwd/mids? As you'd be mad to pay that for a mid cow and if you got them as fwds you'd have to assume you'd be keeping them at that price so a very big risk if they don't deliver. I'd stick to [rookie/gun/exinjured gun only mid pricers ] structure imho.

If fit, Nathan Freeman surely a lock for M10 @ 123k? (Estimate)

Pretty sure he had a couple of 50s from two games in practice matches earlier this year, doesn't sound a lot but he had 50% game time both of those games.
If his hammies hold up and he does a full preseason, he is a must have IMO.

Normally I don't go for a ruck forward but at this stage the forward line options look thin this year, he has to be considered at that price.

agreed

altho after Lycett burnt me to a crisp last year I'm wary

Lycett burned me too. Had a good preseason but with Sinclair gone and no sub rule he will see a lot of it.
Might be his year but can't see him hitting premo ruck status. Maybe a 15-20 point increase in average.
