would you believe it's a fair and level playing field if Saad gets 2 years for a protein shake....

Personally, I think the Saad case stinks, and shows how pathetic the whole code is.

When bureaucrats start arguing that they need more powers over and above what the police have to investigate serial murders - then you know something is very wrong.

Was it not reported along with EFC fan children being bullied, that some are on suicide watch?

If true, shouldn't be joking about it.

This whole episode will always have a smell to it regardless of the outcome.
We know the AFL are good at hiding things so we will never ever know the true story in all this.

Just glad it's nearly over and we can concentrate on footy again and laughing at Essendon's glory boy fans again!:D

None of us know what is in the "interim" report, so how are we to know what is going to be the "final" report. The Hun seems to be suggesting that "interim" report does not given cover the drug issues, just governance issues. Which makes one wonder why ASADA would be investigating governance issues.

It is very disapointing that all of us were hopeing for some sort of conculsion, only to have it fade away like a mirage. Typical for federal public servants, they are still writting the report on the great depression.
yep. Why are ASADA producing a report on governance? We've already had one of those, and it's not their job. The reason is exactly what you've said in the last 2 lines. It's a "result" that isn't in fact a result. The AFL can act or not, finals has credibility, issue starts to fade.

Like I said before, if players aren't infracted soon, as an Essendon supporter I'm pretty darn confident they won't be. ASADA are now investigating the NRL. They've done us. If they had anything, they'd have put it in the "interim" report. Of course they would

Are there any bomber fans out there who agree with the rest of us regarding this matter? Like any who think that if they started taking at least some of this on the chin and cop there whack and move on? Not suggesting they accept all Charges without proof or conclusion of the investigation, but surely the public and the media would back off a bit if they drop* this arrogant stand? Real question not a troll..

which is why WADA will have been looking over ASADA's shoulder along the way and making clear what they expect them to be doing as part of the investigation as well as looking over the report etc before being released.
what a load of rubbish.

You think WADA shadow investigate every investigation? It's a laughable proposition. Think about it for just a second or two. You think they have those kind of resources? Hell, if they do, why even have local bodies?

Seriously. Think before you type.

But what LU is saying is that WADA will intervene where there is clearcut evidence of a breach followed by an insufficient penalty.

Where the evidence doesn't exist - they have no power to intervene.

By the letter of the law Saad (if b test is positive) is a dickhead. He should know everything he is taking is above board and legal as that as a professional athlete is HIS responsibility.

2 years is the punishment for his indiscretion so cop it on the chin, harsh or not.

Even if Essendon have only injected aod then they by the letter of the law will have done something a lot worse than Saad..

Do any Bombers fans agree or are most of you still clinging to "Aod is legal",even though it has been categorically stated by Asada they never told Essendon it was legal to use and Wada confirmed it IS a prohibited substance.

Not even considering any other "supplements"

That's a bit harsh - aren't we just talking about an energy drink commercially available - seriously??

Every investigation? No

For instance I very much WADA has any interest in the Saad investigation at present.

The first investigation into an S0 drug?

That is another matter. Shadow investigate? No so much, but read the report themselves. Make suggestions and get ready to intervene if they see S0 being watered down. Yes.

Can you define what you mean by 'arrogant stand' please?

A positive for every supporter from every club if bombers are innocent is the backlash Caroline Wilson will recieve
You don't speak for the rest of us ,so zip it.

Idiot, fool, sure. But Dickhead? Really?

I'm of the understanding it was a protein shake which had a substance like Amphetamine in it for a matchday hit and when detailing what he had taken to st.kilda officials they facepalmed straight away when he told them.He should have known better and ignorance is no excuse.

Now back to the bombers........
