Maybe I’ve been brought up different, I can understand if you’re on a first/second date and it being a sure fire way to get ghosted.

Once you have been hanging out for a decent amount of time though and are doing activities each weekend, I personally don’t really see the issue!

Thank you for the heads up though team, will try not to get ghosted .

As someone suggested, try a few dates that won't cost much (coffee,walk) and if she suggests a dinner say you've had some unexpected bills come up ect and see if she offers to pay.

If you ask for money after the date and you keep seeing her then be prepared to never live that one down.

Recently got reacquainted with a friend who I've known for 10 years but hadn't been in touch for a while. Turned out we now work together (different departments, so we don't really interact day to day) and so went for a catch up lunch today. She's single, and has been for a while and I've always had a bit of a thing for her and we've never overlapped of both being single at the same time.

Do I flick her a message tonight and ask if she wants to do a date, or wait a couple of days? Don't want to come across as too keen, but also don't want to come across as it being an afterthought either.
