Enjoy this classic match against Spurs in 1978. A lazy 7-0 demolition job by us. The last goal in particular was considered to be one of the best ever scored at Anfield apparently. The run and cross from Steve Heighway was sublime. And oh, that side was brilliant. Naturally we won the league that season (by 8 points).

What sort of stomach injury that he was able to play through at Russia 2018 could possibly keep him out until October?
Apparently he's got a sore pelvis or something.

Didn't seem to hamper him too much at Russia 2018.
Might be minor thing that is helped by pain pills that he carried though the world cup with. We may see him on the bench a lot earlier but I don't think he'll start a game until the block of big games ends (eg Huddersfield 21st of October).

Firmino the only one whose availability is likely to be problematic from the international break due to when they return.

So the question is: if Firmino doesn't start - Sturridge or Shaqiri?

This, as he details, could lead to mild arthritis at an early age, which could “gradually evolve into moderate and severe arthritis where the bones are actually rubbing against each other,” known as osteoarthritis.

The effects of ACL reconstruction surgery on the development of osteoarthritis are at a “3.6x increase compared to an uninjured knee,” with this magnified further by damage to the cartilage.

“Obviously Liverpool already knew Fekir had an ACL rupture, two additional injuries and procedures, and understood those risks,” Brar adds.

“However, when they saw the MRI and the overt evidence of increased degeneration of knee cartilage, it set off alarm bells.”

He concludes that this does not completely rule out a possible move to Anfield in the future, with Fekir able to manage his injuries, but it seems that this is highly unlikely.

Watching Liverpool spurs classic match on Optus. ROGERS era and markovic started and scored the first. He looked okay that game. Cant help but wonder. He has bags of pace and is surely suited to klopps game plan. If only things were different for him.
