Bobby (one eye) Firmino.
Some random thoughts offered by myself and optus experts:

1. salah still injured?
2. salah trying too hard to repeat his antics of last season
3. Mo fired up when salah went off
4. bob the pirate lol
5. we have conceded 3 goals in 2 games. STOP THE BLEEDING (hehehe)
6. happy for daniel
7. fabs cameo sealed the win.
8. jules breach said they had to stay in the tunnel when bob scored as shit was flying between the two sets of fans including beer. she got beer on her head and said she wished it went in her mouth. hmmmm.

I'd be happy waking up to her the next morning :D

Eight outfield players have played both games since the international break: the back four, Salah, Mane, Wijnaldum and Milner. Both Wijnaldum and Milner have played every minute.

I have a sneaky feeling this will be the XI on the weekend:

Allison
Alexander-Arnold Gomez Van Dijk Robertson
Keita Henderson Milner
Salah Firmino Mane

Mignolet Matip Moreno Fabinho Wijnaldum Shaqiri Sturridge

Then for the league cup

Mignolet
Clyne Matip Phillips Moreno
Jones Fabinho Wijnaldum
Shaqiri Sturridge Origi

McKenzie-Kyle Van Dijk Gomez Milner Keita Solanke Mane
I think Klopp still wants to go well in all competitions. He definitely feels the pressure of no trophy and the League Cup represents the best chance at that.

So I agree that their will be sweeping changes but I think one of the front three will still play, probably Mane I'm guessing. I dont think Origi will figure at all this season. I dont think Phillips plays either but can definitely see Jones perhaps being handed an opportunity.

Migs, Clyne, Matip, Moreno, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Shaq & Studge looks a pretty strong team for an early League Cup match for me - Studge just scored a belter against PSG.

Getting Lallana fit would really help as you could even play a 4-2-3-1 with Shaq, Jones and Lallana in behind Sturridge. Then Fabinho and perhaps Keita in the midfield two.

With the squad this year I feel the cliff is a little further away... but it's still there. Fifth CB, 7th Mid...

This should face Soton probs

Mane Firmino Salah
Keita Henderson Milner
Robertson Gomez VVD TAA
Beck

Imagine trying to tell Salah he isn't starting this game after PSG, he'd be chomping at bits to make amends

Would even do this tbh, Milly and Wij ran their balls off for the past two games, would give them a break, as much as we think the league cup game doesn't matter, don't think Jurg thinks the same and he'd play a decently strong team

Studge
Mane Firmino Salah
Keita Henderson

Pretty damn amazing that we had Bobby, Naby, Fabinho, Matip & Shaqiri on the pine last night. All seriously good players in their own right.

Lallana & Clyne couldn't even make the squad!
Ox, Lovren, Lallana, Origi, Solanke, Brewster all injured. Clyne, Jones, Chirivella, Camacho, Phillips, Kelleher, Grabara all outside the squad too.
