I believe we can overcome adVARsity and prevail.
I don’t know. It’s as if every 50/50 is going against us. What ever happened to clear and obvious error? Go with the refs unless proven otherwise.
I must admit that my love for the game is taking a hit lately. You keep thinking we’ve scored a goal and then it’s taken away from us by margins the size of my dick.

In the beginning, VAR didn't overrule most decisions unless they are clear and obvious, because they don't wanna disrupt the flow of the game

Yet now, they stop and review every tiny thing and every tiny cm to the most pedantic detail

They don't know what they want or what they're doing, just scrap the thing if they have no idea

hope you’re talking about Mane’s goal and not Salah’s 🤣

On the bright side Everton are now closer to 15th (3pts) on the ladder, to what they are with us now (5pts).

I’d really consider a FB duo of Robbo and Kostas next game.

No to Neco, certainly no to Jones at RB, no to Henderson either, should be in midfield, no to Fabinho who should partner with Matip at CB.

I am soooooo god damn ****ing close to being done with this sport. Seriously, the absolute ****ing mauling we have been getting from VAR since it has been introduced is nothing short of complete systematic ****ery. The fact that anyone can look at that shit and call it a pen is ****ing laughable and you just know it wouldn't be given against any other side.

Why not? Is there a conspiracy against Liverpool?

Putting aside the joke that is VAR for the moment, I thought Neco struggled badly and isn’t at the level to be a regular starter. And Minamino has been disappointing so far, needs to start showing something quickly else he will not even be on the bench if we do ever get players back.

Our injury management is becoming a bit of a joke though.

Just watched the replay so be prepared for a rant; Okay I'm done with VAR. Just bin it.

Leave it to the way it was done for the 150 years before it. I'll accept the onfield decisions, even the bad ones. VAR may give us more technically correct decisions but what you lose is more than what you gain. I hate hesitating to celebrate our goals because some f-wit in a TV studio wants to spend 3 minutes drawing a line on the pitch.

It destroys that moment of joy, it pops the balloon and leaves a deflated feeling for the supporters. That is not good for football, it'll turn people off the game. Just get the best referees you can manage and trust them to make the right calls on the pitch AS THEY HAPPEN! Okay I'll lie down now.

No, but the amount of shit decisions we are getting against us what seems like every game that other teams aren't, makes me believe that nobody else would have it paid against them. You can't honestly look at that and tell me that United would have that given against them.

I can honestly say I think they would, because I don’t think it’s as deep as you’re suggesting. Yeah we’ve copped a couple recently, but we also got a similar one in our favour with Salah a couple of weeks ago.

Salah pen wasnt given by VAR. Thats the difference. Marginal calls that could go either way shouldn't be going to VAR. Good chance we dont get that Salah pen if a VAR referral was needed.

The one with Salah against West Ham was a bit different IMO as he was in control of the ball and was turning when the contact was made. Was it soft? Yeah, but the ref gave it and it wasn't clear and obvious enough to change it. With this one, Welbeck played the ball into Robbo who made slight contact, Welbeck then proceeded to take 3 steps before going down like he was shot once he realised the ball was gone. Since the ball was played into Robbo who then cleared it, you can't say the contact impeded Welbeck's ability to control the ball, play the ball, or deny him a goal-scoring opportunity. Considering nobody appealed in real-time and Hendo said in his post-match interview that he had 4 Brighton players tell him they didn't think it was a pen, I don't see how that was clear and obvious enough to overturn it. If the ref gives it in real-time and it is not overturned by VAR I can cop it a bit easier. The fact that they deemed it clear and obvious is what rankles me massively. Clear and obvious has clearly and obviously gone out the window.

Cast your mind back a few weeks on this blatant clear and obvious foul on Salah which wasn't given. The inconsistency is staggering wrt contact. Compare that non decision to the ridiculously soft penalty against Robbo. It's laughable.

if you find something offensive when it isn't, you're an idiot and the FA shouldn't protect you, it's literally a term of affection lmao
