Liverpool to play at Shrewsbury in the 4th round of the FA cup.

Capacity 10,000. :)
What's the problem? They get 2000 and we get the rest of the tickets. ;)

They probably would prefer to play us at Anfield. They would get more money, maybe save the season financially and give hope for the future.

I'd expect Fabinho, Matip, Lovren and Shaqiri would be involved in this game. Maybe Milner and Keita if they recover fast enough.

As much as I love us going to the lower league grounds, the best thing for those teams is to play at Anfield. That one game can essentially put their season finances in the positive on its own.

It depends on how we do our transfers for the next few years, it's the art of turning the league win into a dynasty, isn't it

Fergie did it because he won the league with a bunch of kids who went on to form the core of a 15 year domination

We need to add the most talented kids in our squad right now while this team is winning just to pass the winning culture and mentality from these 28 year olds onto the 20-21 year olds

Also, there are a lot of bullshit about Havertz, just can't see it.

I would be so pumped if we signed him. I watch way more Bundesliga than PL and while everyone was banging on about Werner, I was saying we should seriously be looking at Havertz. I agree that I don't think it will happen. He has Bayern written all over him IMO.

I would love him too but I don't see where he gets gametime. Naby and Ox play his spot atm

I like that Van Der Beek, too, if we really want to buy a midfielder. Gini and Hendo are all around 30, we need to think about fresh blood soon

Why we need Sancho. We have building blocks in place. Gomez, TAA to name a couple who can be here for a long time. But Sadio, Firm, Mo, Virg... will all need replacing.

Liverpool could be the Premier League side which most suffers following the decision to move next year’s Africa Cup of Nations from summer to January 2021.

A host of star players based in England will potentially be affected after hosts Cameroon announced the change. The tournament originally scheduled for June and July 2021 has been shifted to the start of the year between January 6 and February 6.

Qualifying for the tournament is ongoing, but English clubs are now facing the possibility of losing many of their most important assets.

Liverpool will be seriously impacted should Egypt, Senegal and Guinea qualify as it would deny Jurgen Klopp the services of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita.

Was some talk this morning that Rashford copped an injury and is unlikely for the weekend. Not sure how accurate it is.

Seems a tad late in the piece to move the tournament mid season.

Havertz is having somewhat of a 'down' season, isn't he? In 19 Bundesliga and CL appearances, just 2 goals and 1 assist...

Leverkusen as a whole are having a bit of a down season.

They're only nine points off top spot and two outside the top four + on track to get 56 points which is about the same as last season for them (58). 23 goals, the same as 17th placed Bremen, is worrying though.

I'd probably give Havertz another season at Leverkusen to see if he can bounce back...or he can do it in the second half of this season. More inclined to go and get Sancho (different players, yes) but he's having another decent season with 9g and 9a.

Stupid AFCON. You'd be forgiven for thinking this is the behaviour of some tinpot 3rd world organisation. Oh yeah, that's right they are.

They did it for a few reasons
-To avoid the Cameroon monsoon's
-To avoid clashing with the FIFA club world cup

9 points off the top, but they are very inconsistent and the only reason they are so close to top spot is because Bayern have had a down patch, Dortmund have been extremely patchy, and Gladbach hit some bad form leading to some terrible results heading into the winter break. They should be much further behind.
