Kelleher we are so lucky to have as a #2. Unfortunately a performance likes this also reminds everyone he's good enough to be a #1 at a good club. Hopefully we can get him a good loan as opposed to selling.

This season is the exception with long cup runs and injuries to Allison ensuring Kelleher gets enough game time to be happy.

I can't see him wanting to continue as a #2. Mid 20s now, he will want to be a #1 keeper. Wouldn't be fair to expect him to hang around for another 3 years or so until Ali calls it a day.

Selling him with a buyback clause is the way to go. That way, if Allison suddenly declines, we can get him back presuming he wants to come back as a #1.

That match was intense AF. Thank god we won, no one would have sympathised with our injuries had we lost. To have players nobody has heard of help win us the game in ET will now go down in LFC folklore. But I go back to what I said the other day, when one finalist is made to play mid-week in the week of a cup final whilst the other is given the week off, not only is it a bad look but it actually gives one team an advantage. That decision by the PL started to bite when Klopp was forced to make a triple sub of 3 academy players.

Konate stopped two certain Chelsea goals in the final few minutes of regular time. Immense.

Kelleher, best back up keeper ever.

Endo put in a shift or what?

Diaz kept on motoring on.

And VAR overruling VVD's first goal is pathetic. And how that scumbag Caicedo was not even yellow carded for his studded challenge on Gravenberch is a fking disgrace. I have had it up to my eyeballs with VAR. LiVARpool my ass. VAR did not intervene in the Caicedo tackle because they deemed it reckless as opposed to foul play, even though our player is stretchered off. And unbelievably they deemed Endo to be obstructing even though the player he obstructed was at least one metre from a fast moving ball swirling away from him. I wouldn't be surprised if Webb calls out these two shockers later in the week. But then again, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't. How many times can he admit to ref/VAR screw ups?

We need some players to come back ASAP. Up the reds.

Alisson is absolutely incredible, but the powers that be should be having a conversation about what the club would do if they received an overwhelming offer for him, considering his age, his injury history, and the quality of his back up.

Yeah I was thinking something similar. It seems like sacrilege to be considering it but I don't think Ali is going to be one of these keepers who plays until he's 37-38, not with the amount of injuries he's had. Tough decision.

What a result last night. The amount of growth and belief those kids would've got is incredible. I'm glad we've won a trophy but the injuries have reached a laughable stage. I've readjusted my expectations. I hope we can just put together enough results to comfortably finish Top 4.

Dunno what commentary you guys had but watching the replay with the Sky feed Garry Neville called Chelsea "The Blue Billion Pound Bottle Jobs" and I think that was pretty apt.

It was absolutely absurd. Colwill was not getting anywhere near challenging Van Dijk for the ball. I could have maybe understood the call if it was an opponent directly challenging Van Dijk for the ball (Chilwell).

This definitely was not clear and obvious at all, the linesman clearly felt Endo's involvement was irrelevant. Pretty much VAR reviewed because Colwill might have gotten within a few yards of Van Dijk and maybe put some pressure on him.

Certianly not "clear and obvious"!

Sky had Mike Dean on commentary for ref stuff and he said it was correct going by the rules. Whether Colwill would have prevented the goal is irrelevant. The fact is that he would have been in the vicinity and Endo started in an offside position and blocked him from making any attempt to challenge for the ball.

Hackett said that's nonsense. The linesman made a call that Endo wasn't involved as an active player in the goal and that should have bene the end of it. There was no clear and obvious error here, infact it took serious mental gymnastics to come to the conclusion that Endo was actively involved in play.

There are goals scored all the time where there's interactions between offside attackers and their opponents, if they all start getting disallowed over what might happen the game will be a farce.

Heard one of the commentaries saying that it is something that happens at nearly every corner and is not called.

I agree and Carra kept blowing up in commentary making that exact same point.

There's no offside offence from a corner but sometimes from the header there's offside attackers interacting with defenders that are nowhere near the ball.

Bit of icing on the cake:

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino’s hopes of igniting the season after a difficult start to his reign were dashed, with the Blues becoming the first team in English football history to lose six successive domestic major finals.

The last three of those defeats have come against Liverpool.

Jurg didn't shake Kavanagh's hand and basically made fun of them in the presser, go on king, you're leaving anyway, may as well call out the frauds

I noticed that. Still think I'd prefer he didn't. He might not have long left with them but the club will!
