Needs to sign a new contract get his head down and start playing the way we know he can.

He was really poor for the first 70 or so minutes, I thought he was better in the last 20 but he's been kinda meh all season.

It's a weird squad we have right now and how we are top and winning all these games is kinda crazy.

Cos I dont think Szobo is a 10 at all. I dont think Grav is a 6 either. Both IMO are being played out of position.

Szobo should be the 8 and Mac the 10. Grav unfortunately should be on the bench in favour of an actual 6.

It's interesting that Robbo is out of form and for the first time in his Liverpool career, his position is being challenged by Tsimikas who let's be honest has been better than Robbo for far this season.

TAA also has been super average this season cos he's got one foot in Madrid.

Then you add that Nunez just isnt scoring goals, Jota is always injured and Gakpo and Diaz are in a battle of the ages for the LW spot.

I mean... thank **** for Virgil and Mo. Haha

Yet despite all this, we are top and have lost just one game all season. Crazy.

TAA has never been a good defender, his asset to the team is his ability to assist goals with his passing. However this season his passing is way below average continually giving the ball away. I want to sign him and then cash in selling him. There have been better players than TAA who have flopped after leaving Liverpool. Szobo as well hasn't taken that next step and I fear for his position in the team if Slot manages to sign that Spaniard he's been chasing. Grav has been our best midfielder being able to open up play with his dribbling ability from deep. Slot has inherited a very good team but it is far from the finished article. Slot needs 2 or 3 transfer periods to fully put his stamp on the team.

I think its all in Trents head. Whether its lacking confidence, thinking about next season on another team, who knows. Also he was babied under Klopp. Where Slot seems more direct and tougher critically. Not all players will buy into that change.

As the poster above said. It will be 2-3 windows to get Slot his team. We have our three best players in their 30s. Our wide backs are out of form, especially Robertson. We still lack a true clinical finisher up front. And Szoboszlai has not seemed to have transferred his goal scoring from over from his previous club.

Yet the team is doing enough now to be in a good position at this point of the season.

Beyond Mo himself I think how we deal with these will change our appeal in recruiting. If it looks like we won't pay top wages to even players in the top 2-3 in the world for their position it certainly could hurt when world class players are weighing up coming to us over other clubs.

Yep I'm firmly in the Mo camp on this one too.

He's one of our greatest ever players still playing a super high level and he wants to stay. He doesnt want to go to Real Madrid or Barcelona or Bayern Munich etc. He wants to stay here and play at Liverpool.
