While absolutely conceding we were beaten by the better team this morning...

  • did everyone else see the Trippier handball? Why is everyone acting like it didn't happen? By the time Chiesa scored and the special comments guy was saying it was clearly offside when the vision showed Chiesa a metre on side, I thought I might have entered a parallel dimension
  • Gakpo came on and didn't change anything, Nunez the same, Jones much the same. Elliott and Chiesa come on and things changed. Both should have been playing much more recently.
  • If we are serious, considering we don't play the first weekend back (FA Cup quarter finals), we batter Everton at home.
Which commentary were you listening to? Don’t recall BeIN sports saying he was offside…more the opposite really. As for the handball, they judged it accidental and in a natural position…just like 9/10 handball shouts against us… we got 2 pens last week. I wouldn’t expect any more soon…

His arm was in a natural position if you are the letter T. It was miles away from his body and altered the trajectory of the ball.

If we win the league then Slot’s lack of rotation is justified imo. Picking the same team every week has resulted in a continuity and consistency in the league that has us 12 points clear.

Good point.

That however cannot continue long term. Going to be a big summer transfer window one feels.

Valid point. And it may well be a contributing factor!

However, if we do not win the league, i reserve the right to edit this post and denounce Slots lack of player rotation

Thought it should have been given as the ball travelled a long distance before hitting the player's hand who was aware the ball was nearby. Deflected it away from Diaz too. Sometimes you get em, sometimes you don't.

Gravenberch has started 41 games this season, all PL games and all but 1 CL dead rubber.
He started only 21 all of last year and only 6 for Bayern the year before which is why he seems to have dropped off the most of anyone.
With only 9 games left + 2 Netherlands games he likely won't get a rest but again, the lack of midweek fixtures should help him

Definitely. He's been flogged and is exhausted. Similar thing happened to Szo last season.

The most important signing in summer is another #6/double pivot mid. That was supposed to be Zubimendi but the club didn't have a backup plan.

At the end of the day we win the league, that's what we want.. but sometimes you need a bit of luck to fall your way, and we have had some of that luck thats helped us also...
