I've always thought that, although I believe Salah will stay, he will think about the treatment he gets in the PL from defenders and referees when he makes his decision. You can just defend him differently. I'd like to see someone like Saka have to put up with what Salah puts up with.

The Coote video is so funny. Poor bastard. Gacked up to his eyeballs with some bloke he's obviously hanging out with just to do rack, getting interrogated on camera. Too blasted to realise how dumb he is to let this happen.

If I was Coote I'd probably hate Klopp too, after their run ins. Like in life you have people you have to interact with your job that do your head in, you will probably have had a blow out after work hours and had a moan about them there too. A professional then gets on with it, suppressing their bias. Whether Coote has or not, who knows. I don't think it's really worthwhile dragging up decisions from years gone by and trying to assemble a conspiracy theory. It's a bit Arsenal, that, a bit undignified.

Unfortunately for him he's let himself be filmed and now he's finished. Good luck in life Mr Coote.

People who act like Coote is the victim in all of this is so funny to me. Why is it Jurgen's fault that Coote hates him and not the other way around? Maybe Jurgen wouldn't be so mad at them if they were half way competent at their jobs.
Why does it have to be a victim perpetrator dichotomy. It's a very human story and it's not that deep. I have sympathy for Coote. Is that a crime

I have more sympathy for Jurgen tbh, probably lost so much energy and love of the game just from dealing with the bullshit of this sport every week including the refs, then these manchester born refs with saudi appointment holidays just rip into scousers and liverpool in their little secret basement meetings while screwing over us with dogshit decisions and six digit salary

Secret basement meetings is it? Or is that a bit deranged?

How is that deranged? They literally just got filmed calling Jurgen a "German campaigner", ripping on scousers while making fun of COVID restrictions, you'd be naive if you think they don't do it all the time behind closed doors. They were just filmed this time and it got leaked. This is the most sensible interpretation

Sweet. Totally normal stuff. But when other fan bases think there's a conspiracy against them by the refs it's a bit odd. You think other refs don't call Arteta or Pep raging campaigners behind closed doors?

I lived in Liverpool, I know Scousers, I know how they feel in the context of the 80s and Hillsborough, the very real stereotyping they are on the bottom end of. To me this is bog standard work moaning on a night out. The only sin was letting himself be filmed. Let yourself be human please, we've all been in Coote's shoes. I found Ronay's piece in the Guardian quite reasonable on the topic. Maybe I'm a bit cynical on the tribalism in football. I do care little bit about the life of Coote and think maybe there should be a sliver of sympathy.

Agree to some degree but the use of the c word is far too often accepted as normal when it’a a word that should never be used.

All I'm gonna say is that if you think ripping on the scousers and calling someone a German campaigner is just "a bog standard work moaning on a night out" then I don't think you may understand that systematic discrimination on Liverpool enough.

He is a professional, paid 6 digits to do a job professionally, being "human" isn't an excuse, he is paid handsomely to be above those standards, expected to be impartial at his job. If he can't set his personal feelings aside (and not do a line of coke while on the job as the recent revelation seems to suggest he can't help with that either), then he shouldn't be in this job.

I'm tired of western media corroding standards and normalizing shitty behavior, that's how we end up with Trump, but that's another topic

I love Robbo, but Ronay's remarks about his comments to Coote were bang on. Any other workplace and that results in some sort of discipline for Robertson.

We will see if it all gets to him, but Slot seems calmer and hopefully that translates into a better run. So far, no signs.

The comments on Scousers are indefensible however. There's no denying how the rest of England sees them, and that will always be a factor.

Now the guy's been exposed texting and grooming a 17 year old. The guy clearly pissed off the wrong people and now all the dirt about him is coming out as some sorta coordinated attack. The "sympathies" people have for him seem to have evaporated pretty quickly
Where have you seen this? Gee whiz

Christ. Sorry but I did laugh at "Michael's game has gone to pens" after 6 pure sex pest messages

Some talk Mo has agreed a 3 year extension on the same terms he is on now (350k / week total package).

If that's true that would be just about right IMO. There is no way a pay rise could be justified because even though he is world class his best years are still behind him. I believe he's got 2 more seasons in him before he starts to drop off. If that does happen a Saudi Arabian club would easily cough up 50m for him at 35 years old with 1 year left on his contract. If he's still doing the business then he stays until the end of his contract. Whatever happens when he finishes up he is going to be right up there in the LFC GOAT rankings.
