It’s unfortunate the squeeze of the season has had 2 important games so close. We were immense in getting thru the tough log jam relatively strong (save the Villa and Everton draws), but this week has been the result.

Feels a lot like last year when the emotion of Klopp’s last season hit draws with United and Everton head-on, and lead to the losses to Atalanta (ending our Europa charge) and our chance for the League…everything comes to a head fast.

Here’s to hoping we can regroup in a couple of weeks time and forge ahead to the Title. Our attack is looking toothless right now…

I'm sorry but it blows my mind that Chiesa has had like 60 minutes of game time this year and still managed to come on and score a goal in a cup final in which the team was no where near it. And he looked damn good. What gives, Arne?

Think a lot of that is on Slot's squad rotations of lack there of. We just look knackered.

A real shame.

Now we just gotta focus on our run home and securing No.20. This final and the CL exit will mean very little if we can win the title.

While absolutely conceding we were beaten by the better team this morning...

• did everyone else see the Trippier handball? Why is everyone acting like it didn't happen? By the time Chiesa scored and the special comments guy was saying it was clearly offside when the vision showed Chiesa a metre on side, I thought I might have entered a parallel dimension
• Gakpo came on and didn't change anything, Nunez the same, Jones much the same. Elliott and Chiesa come on and things changed. Both should have been playing much more recently.
• If we are serious, considering we don't play the first weekend back (FA Cup quarter finals), we batter Everton at home.
