Apparently some Egyptian news outlet says Mo is close to re-signing? I dunno dude I'm hanging onto anything

Would actually have a cry if Virgil and Mo re-signs
Losing TAA is a blow but re-signing Mo and Virg is so key to our fortunes. I know they are 32 and 33 years old but Mo is almost at his absolute peak and I mean so is Virg, he's in career best form, back to his absolute best after that knee reco.

Even if they fall away 10% next and another 10% the season after they will still be elite or close to it.

There is no reason not to sign them on for at least two more years IMO. Neither have shown any signs of falling away yet.

Is that a type? Did you say tickets were $313 dollars. Three Hundred and Thirteen?

What the actual *?! Who the * would pay that. I wouldnt even pay that amount of money for like Gerrard or Klopp? It's outrageous.

I remember Carragher coming a few years ago doing speaking gigs and I went to that, got to meet him as well and got a picture with him etc. IIRC is was maybe around 60 bucks or so...
I reckon Ian Rush was $80.

#66 home shirt from the year we won the league with the champions League badges and print because we won that thing the season before 😭 I ain't burning something that cost $160 odd bucks and this is the reason I buy my kits from DHgate

I have a Trent shirt, I wont burn it but I probs wont ever wear it again.

Totally understandable too.

Should he be welcomed back to the club in any guise?

From my following the main issue was the length of the contract. The club wasn't keen to give a 4 year contract and to be honest I think that's a pretty reasonable stance to take. At Mo's age a few bad injuries and it drops off pretty quickly, no matter how dedicated he may be to looking after his body. Nobody beats age.

My view is a 2 year deal is appropriate. If we're still relying on Mo Salah at 35 years old having spent 10 years at the club then we have real issues.

May end up being 2 years with a further option for 1 more season. Let's see. I don't see FSG going ahead with a 4 year deal. I also reckon no other club in Europe would either apart from Saudi clubs or a club in Serie A which is built for pensioners but wages would be much, much less.

A lot of fans hating this but we need to replace Trent's attacking output from right back, in games where we need a more defensive right back, we can just play Bradley or Quansah

At home against most bus parkers a Frimpong makes too much sense, plus he is home grown with a 35 mil release clause, no brainer deal. He can also backup Mo at right wing when he's at AFCON provided he re-signs

Frimoong Kerkez at fullback looks good.

Personally I'd offer Robbo a 1 year extension and keep him on as experience / keeping Kerkez on his toes.

Sell Tsimikas.

Why are fans hating it?

Melissa Reddy on contract situations at Liverpool:

Both Real Madrid and Trent were surprised of the stories that broke this week given nothing major has changed since January. No agreement, no deal has been signed nor has a conclusion been communicated to either club.

Liverpool have made Trent lucrative offers to stay, but they understand the idea of a new challenge, lifestyle experience, a fresh life and lure of being a Real Madrid player.

All parties including Real Madrid and Trent Alexander-Arnold have made it very clear that any decision made will not have been driven by money.

Liverpool have not allowed questions over the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future.

There is still yet to be a breakthrough with the contracts of Salah and Van Dijk but both are desperate to stay and sign new contracts with the club.

The situation with Trent will have no bearing on the negotiations with Salah and Van Dijk as all contracts have been drafted on individual merit, data and circumstances.

Mo & Virg issues seems mostly to be contract length. They both want a deal - just a matter of compromise on the length of the deal.

VVD - 3 year contract at £250k/week

Mo - 3 year contract broken up:
*Yr 1 - £350k/week plus add ons
*Yr 2 - £300k/week plus add ons
*Yr 3 - £250k/week plus add ons

TAA - pay the worst player in the club £5m to knee cap him if he’s adamant on leaving 😃

Sounds like she's getting her info from the Trent/Real camp, trying to act all surprise pikachu about it and say "it isn't about the money" as if they didn't sign Alaba on a free for 400k per week in exactly the same way. Just Trent's PR doing damage control

Yeah TAA will be in damage control mode right now.

How can I protect my Liverpool legacy but still leave? Mate.... you cant.
