JBB needs to be upgraded, team can never in bound the ball in the clutch, how do you have Okoro as the passer instead of Rubio. Could have been a great win, now they will probably go on a bad run again after a choke job

What is the point of centre's like Mitchell Robinson if they have barely to no impact offensively ? Rob Perez loves him, but I think he is bit of a lemon tbh and the Knicks should trade him
I'm in the Perez camp - my favourite player on the Knicks roster. After Thibs cut the rotation to 9 there was a big shift to defence and it has paid off massively. Robinson is a big reason why and he is being backed up by Grimes and Quickley who are both fantastic defenders. Team is like 17-0 when the opposition is limited to 109 points or less - this is essentially the identity of the team and the main reason we have seen some pretty consistent performances over the last 25 games or so.

Mitchell Robinson NBA rankings amongst players with >16min per game
Contested rebound %: #1 (62.8%)
Box outs: #1 (3.4 pg)
Blocks: #5 (1.8 pg)
Offensive rebounds: #2 (4.4 pg) - Knicks are #1 for second chance points (17.9 per game)

His defensive stats are off the chart and imo he is one of the best defensive centres in the league. But what gets overlooked is offensive rebounds which are so important for us as we are not a good shooting team, especially from 3pt range. Him not being used on offence more has to do with the system we play which I disagree with. If you watch our games there will be many instances where he is matched on an undersized defender under the rim and they ignore him. He is always going to be a good lob threat but we need to get him more involved in our offence by exploiting those matchups. All in all I think the impact he has for the Knicks is significantly greater than he would have at other teams purely because we are so focused on defence and rim protection to win our games. He is also on a pretty good contract of 60m over 4 years (and it declines every year) and is only 24. Still improvement to come and for me he is a vital cog to the team in the future.

But why would he do that when Cuban has assured us that Luka already has enough help. Is Frank Ntilikina not already enough help? SMH

Luka needs to be more demanding. He's a humble and stand up guy and probably learned a lot of it from Dirk but he needs to let cheap ass Cuban know he won't put up with this bullshit because before he knows it he'll be 27-28 in his prime years and already wasted a lot of chances at titles.

Kings now 3rd in the Western Conference standings. This is the highest they’ve been at any point during the season since 2002.

Mumma I'm scared of heights

peternorth What do I do? I've never been so high before. GG though, man LeBron needs some help.

hmm less about LeBron and I thought extremely good coaching by Brown. Possession prior LeBron got the And-1 against Keegan and then next possession we subbed in Metu who is a lot stronger and was able to keep LeBron in front of him, didn't get faked out and forced the long contested 3.

LeBron can only do so much though, that man needs some help.

Only watched the last 5 minutes, the loss fairly falls on the hands of Russ really, LeBron was getting given close attention by the Kings and his body is not capable of explosive drives during clutch time anymore to the basket

I still think they should trade Davis (body is cooked, can't give the Lakers more than 30 or so decent games per season anymore), Russ and try recoup picks and some speculative young players

The surprising (and surging) Thunder means its probably unlikely the Lakers make even the play in, LeBron wants to retire there as a player, and they haven't got the ability to attract star F/A's anymore (least for the time around) and no real tangible draft assets they can use trade away (they simply must not trade away their 27 and 29 FRPs)
