I don't recall him exterminating Jewish people in concentration camps in his first term or invading countries like Canada or Mexico.

Kristallnacht happened in 1938. Hitler took power in 1933. He doesn't have anything approaching the intelligence or imagination of Hitler, but he does have the same kind of approach to government (any press that isn't fawning is the enemy, true patriots are his supporters, the organs of the state need to be subservient to the leader, and make direct threats against people being critical of the regime).

People think because he's a clown, the circus will all end with everyone going home happily. That's not how his kind actually work, and only America's guardrails kept him from heading down that path last time.
