Explain how the **** they would benefit the economy?
Super profits tax, Mining tax , cut franking credits tax, raise taxes on highest 5% of income earners, scap the $368 billion Aukus submarine farce- invest $100 billion in other military defenses.
Invest $2 billion a year to put dental on medicare which saves on medical costs in long run. Invest in renewable engergy on a large scale for domestic and export use.
Stop billions in subsidies for fossil fuel industry.
Invest in high density inner city housing on a large scale to decrease rent costs.
Tax corporate entities who don't pay any tax eg google, Rhinehart.

The Boomers/Old Fart Conservative Geezers are dying out and the younger/progressive minded youth are now of voting age and will stand against again that monster Dutton will dish up.
Elmer, what makes you think boomers are all conservative Liberal voters? Most boomers were at their working peak during the 70’s and 80’s when unionism was very strong, probably twice as much (or more) than today. Plenty of them still have union/Labor ideals.
Granted, if you listen to redneck radio 3AW and read the Herald/Sun you would think all old people are conservative toss bags but it’s not the case.
You can be conservative in thinking and not be a Dutton/Abbott fan.

Tbh Trump did run a very well run campaign, he campaigned at blue collar/swinging and marginal seats and appealled to the hard working (but dumb and uneducated slobs) who are lumberjacks or work in factories etc

I feel like the Democrats have to cut back a lot on their shallow celebrity endorsement for their political campaigns, I love him, but how can the common person also feel like they can relate to a multi millionaire superstar like Robert De Niro.

Didn't help having Alex Baldwin who controversially killed a woman (accidentally) on set a few years ago being part of the ticket as well.

The whole Celeb Democratic Whizz Bang show worked for Obama but times have changed.

I hate to say this but the accusations of The Democrats being a play thing for 'wealthy Hollywood Elites/liberals' has a fair degree of truth to it.

And the anti Trump attacks by the left celebs in America worked a treat for Trump too.

The Democrats need to stop with all this celebrity glam courting and go back to grass roots political activism, show the voters and people of America they will work hard and govern for all their constituents.

If they keep on trying to use celebrity/pop culture figures as the basis of their campaigns, the Demo's will be in the political abyss for a long long time

They're trying to attract moderate Republicans who don't exist (when the rubber hits the road) at the expense of workers.

The ALP will do the same and if they lose will have the same reaction ("Oh it must have been those pesky Palestinian supporters" or "Wow, maybe we didn't go far enough right!").

Dutton will harp on about "Aussies doing it tough" and "unable to afford to buy a house" and people will vote for him despite his $300 million property portfolio.
