Why do people buy into this bullplop?

A rumour starts on a footy forum site, someone in their infinite mischieviousness sends a text to a popular sports radio channel, and bang, fish get caught.

This goes on time and time again. No wonder we can never sort the BS from the Bank.

So, whats todays latest?

Another poster sent it to SEN, who apparently bought it, and since then I've seen it taken seriously on here, BB, the Hawthorn board, twitter, various web sites and the radio.

I won't name the poster, so don't ask me their name; I'd they want to reveal themselves and lap up the applause that's their call.

I've seen a few people claiming this came from a 'very reliable source', well I'm telling you now that while i have previously broke press-beating stories such as hurley re-signing and mark Thompson looking suspiciously happy the morning after geelong's prelim final loss, this one was plucked from thin air.

The joke's on the media, tbh.

You guys should know better, and to anyone that took it literally I apologise, though I wouldve thought me stating numerous times that I made it up was a pretty good hint.

Seriously, if Hooker is involved in getting quality midfielder, I am happy with it. Guys like Pears, Hurley etc are untradeable, Hooker isn't.
