Pretty sure we will have a much better fixture next year and none of these stupid Sunday twilight games, Monday night games and so on.

We also better learn how to beat the lower sides because we're going to get a bottom 6 draw :)

Don't think Adam Hartlett was short on talent. Was probably the second most injured player in the game after Gumbleton tho.
Plus when he did finally get a game he would whack someone and get suspended for a couple of weeks.

Thought his suspension against Richmond was well deserved as it was an old fashion payback, can't remember who took him out, but when he came back on he bee lined him and sconed him with an elbow as if to say, if you want to dish it out be prepared to take it back. Not that I condone it but sometimes the line needs to be drawn.
I think that may have been Juddy's first game with us?

Stadium deal makes sense at 6 and 5. We don't pull a big enough crowd to warrant 8 games at the G. Sorry but we just don't.

I don't agree Jatz. We are 4th highest for the season in attendances.

This years figures are down on previous years and that goes for all Club's attendances.

Top 4:-
Collingwood - average 47,647
Essendon - average 44,448
Hawthorn - average 41,234
Carlton - average 38,544

Which is fine, but Melbourne has to play out of the G so that's one tenant position taken.

Why would the AFL remove an existing tenant when we could easily fit our crowds at Etihad? They're swinging the ledger to a 6-5 split but that's really all we deserve.

Playing the dogs and St Kilda + any games against interstate sides at the G is just a waste.

Also a total waste playing the Hawks & Cats at Etihad.

Don't get me wrong Jatz, but there is nothing more that I would like than play most of our home games at the G with possibly an 8/3 or 7/4 split between the G & Etihad.

I also understand Melbourne being a home tenant at the G but their attendances are a joke - 24K average.

Absolutely agree with everything in your post.

From a Carlton perspective it makes sense. From a business perspective it doesn't make sense to go 8-3.

How about 7 -4. ;)

We will soon find out when our contract is renegotiated and I am pretty sure the Club is pushing for more home games at the G.
