I can't believe there are people out there who actually like Sandy Roberts! Having to see him on my screen again for the Olympics was horrible, it reminded me how glad I am that there's not much worthwhile sport to ever watch on channel seven. As much as I can't stand Brayshaw, McGuire, Cometti, Christian, Walls and many others, none of them will ever get on my nerves quite like Sandy! The commentators who annoy me the least are probably Lane and Quartermain, but they still say some pretty stupid stuff at times.

It's annoying and embarrising. I mean some Presidents were bagged by Mr Collingwood Mcguire himself for saying cr*p like "pigs a$$" or "carl 'n" but at least they didn't go totally overboard like he does.

Whoever said that Tim Lane is a crap commentator should be shot.

The barracking for Lloyd from the Commentary Box on Sunday was insufferable. At one stage, Eddie reffered to the Bomber spearhead as "the good guy", going up against "black hat" Fraser Gehrig. Black hat, of course referring to the old TV Western where the good guys wore white sestons and the villains donned black ones.
I was furious by the end of the whole sorry display, the game went out the wiondow in the last 5 minutes as Eddie and co squealed like teenage girls at a Hanson concert every time Essendon got posession of the ball.

The Ch 9 commentators are pretty much shockers, but i think the FOX footy channel is up there with the worst...as the roos games dont draw in the big crowds, the commentators are usually, Matthew Campbell and Kevin Bartlett...2 of the WORST, unfluent commentators of all time. (Ch 9's "Christo" is up there with the worst of them also) I say go back to Ch 7, the coverage is better too.....Ian Robertson, Bruce McAvaney, Sandy Roberts, Peter Landy all showed emotion, at times toooo much but its better than listening to biased P*ricks like Eddie McCollingwood.
Dennis is the only one worth anything to 9.
The rest are basically unintelligent ferals.
Tim Lane was absoultely right not to join them..his PROFESSIONALISM would have suffered working alongside Eddie Ego, Dermie Ego and Garry Ego.
Will be glad to see the back of the circus that is 9's "coverage" of football.
Maybe 7 could work with 10...not beyond the realms of possibility.
