I guess your aware of the trouble thats been happening of late in the chat room with a sort of war going on between the users of BigFooty and a group of Americans who have been using the chat more and more.

What id like to know, is why the Chat Rooms name is BigSoccer and where the Americans are coming from in the first place?

I realise that there is a connection between BigFooty and the BigSoccer sites. Yet couldnt we have an independant chatroom for this site alone? That way all the regular (and some not so regular) posters at BigFooty
could go and talk about Aussie Rules without having the whole thing degenirate (as it had been doing) into a slanging match between Australians and Americans.

Appreciate all efforts made so far with the whole site its fantastic. An Australian Rules Chat Room (maybe called Aussie Rules Chat?) would be the icing on the cake.

I agree Grendel. It has really put me off going into the chat room. You enter the room, asked if you are an Aussie, if you answer yes, you are the reciever of a hurl of abuse that seems to start with stuff like 'f**k of you farmer, go home and f**k your cows!" then all the 'we were here first and you can just f**k off.....' crap starts!

Nonetheless, if an exclusive chat room could be arranged that would be good.

Would there be any restrictions on why this can't occur? Licencing?

I agree the ignore button can be used impressivly, but that shouldnt have to happen to the extent that 90% of people are on ignore. Or to go in when the chats quiet and then have to filter through as people enter.

Mags, im there to talk footy, not get into a slanging match, even if im (sort of) on your side, still doesnt mean i wnat to be there while you and some Yank are insulting each other.
