I dunno dude, see ya local system administrator, perhaps you have some nasty caching happening. But to double check, click on the link in my post above. There were TWO links from the main page, I clicked on the VIEW link, not the other one. Perhaps the other one leads to a gallery with only 2 pics. Good luck.

Pred's link worked for me

Worked for me too - my other post was before I saw that link.

Looks like they didn't have the 'popuprefresh' on the article link but did on the view link but even that's been corrected now.

It does a little but it also looks a lot better in these pics than the first two.

Doesn't look great in the first pictures but once you see it being worn, it looks pretty good, until...

the shorts! The white shorts with the teal stripe don't work with the teal guernsey with black trim.

I like the numbers too, that white outline makes them a lot easier to see.

I can handle it.

Altohugh I probably would have avoided the triangles all over the place, and in stead had teal at the top slowly changing shade until it got to black at the bottom.
The idea of a clash strip is so it doesn't clash with other strips - i think that's called stating the obvious :p . The colour that clashes is black so that's what this strip has to avoid while not getting rid of it completely.

D'you reckon they're anticipating a move in the distant future? Will we wear this in Darwin to avoid a clash with the Bulldogs' strip?
:D
They should wear the black one against the Dogs.

It's funny you should say that. It occurred to me after your bemoaning of teal that blue never hurt Sturt's popularilty through their heydays. Also, if we look like them perhaps we will get some disenfranchised Sturt supporters coming across. Not entirely sure if we'd want them, but that's another story.

You could wear pink polka dots and be popular if you win premierships. How did Sturt's blue go for them when they weren't winning premierships?

I dunno, you're the bloody marketing expert apparently, you tell us.

While you're at it perhaps you can explain why both Nike and the club have erred in their research which shows teal is our most popular colour.

No marketing expertise required, I believe. How did Sturt crowds go when they weren't winning premierships?

Considering its the only colour, its not surprising.

Not flash, but where is the evidence that it was because people didn't like the colour of the jumper?

I don't think the research cohort were probably quite so pedantic.

p.s. damn quoting system!

Apart from the new jumper, anyone else notice the super banner that Tredders ran through?
We (Port Adelaide Supporters Club) members made it last night...not a bad effort if i do say so myself.:)
PLus we got a sneek peak last nite at the guernsey.

I seriously expected better. The other guernsey is miles better. THhis one looks nothing like a football jumper.

Each to their own I guess.

Well I reckon it's much better than wearing fruitloops........;)

Sure it's nothing like the old traditional footy jumpers but then we're playing in a new league, in a new century and I'm sure we'll just be the first of many other clubs coming out with some radical designs over the next few years.

I think the pics at Footy Park look much better than the first couple and I think it's a lot better than the old 3 bar one which I never really liked.

I'd have it a little darker but that was never going to happen as the emphasis was always going to be less black.

At least it looks like a footy jumper unlike your imitation of a girly netball top:p

To me it just doesn't look like a footy jumper. As far as footy jumpers go, the simpler the better. This is to "arty". I thought your training jumper you wore against Collingwood was very good and assumed that the "new" jumper would be something along those lines.

It just looks like one of those West Coast jumpers or even worse a Hawthorn pre-season jumper of a few years ago.

As Porthos suggested on the other thread it would have been better to take the original Magpies guernsey and swap black with teal or even better have a teal coloured "state" jumper with black and silver "V".

Actually yours looks more like a rugby or old netball top to me.......my sister used to play for a netball side that basically had the same top for over 20 years in Adelaide.

I actually thought the training top we wore was pretty bland actually. Sure there is more to this top than old traditional styles but then we're in a new century now and I'm sure this will be the first of quite a few different tops ALL clubs come up with in future years.

I see no similarity to those at all as thew just looked like spew.....

It was never going to be that way as the club always said it would be a modern design not in the traditional style. As I said earlier expect to see some pretty different jumpers from ALL sides (with the expection of Collingwood whilst Eddie's there) will be bringing out over the next couple of years.

Yeah, its not as bad as I heard on the radio but I'm still not sold.

I guess it is what happens when you let marketers design jumpers.

Nothing is as bad as the Hawthorn one of a few years ago.
