Saw them in Las Vegas this year...twice.
DuVall is no Layne Staley, but they were still pretty damn good.
Would be much better these days in a smaller venue. Here's hoping for a tour!

Alice in Chains go alright but they've never produced a song as good as this.

They aren't being rated. I've already said AIC > Nirvana, then you bring up some pop band. I saw Cornell at the Opera House, by hour three suicide was a real option, beautiful singer but he can't write a decent song.

Alice In Chains is a much better band than Nirvana and Layne Stayley has a much better voice than Kurt Cobain.
Smells Like Teen Spirit was meant to be an ironic song like Fight For Your Right. Of course, everyone missed the point. Come As You Are is a pretty good song. Lithium is pretty good too. Everything else? Eh.....
Alice In Chains on the other hand have countless good songs. Every album they produced was brilliant. No Nirvana song can compare to Rooster, Down In A Hole, Got Me Wrong, No Excuses, Sea of Sorrow, Man In The Box etc... Most Nirvana songs sound the same.....a loud grungy garage band sound. Alice In Chains were a very diverse band.
Alice In Chains never seem to have gotten the credit they deserved while Nirvana always got far more credit than they deserved.
Soundgarden are also great. Outshined would have to be my favorite song of theirs.
