If both of them can remain on the park.

It's been the dream for the last few years. I'm holding onto it.
Pattinson was making some positive comments last night about not rushing his rehab this time.

Warner...a lot of batsman have copped heat on this tour but he has been terrible. Failed yet again this series.

Didn't see his second innings dismissal, but I am still trying to get over the 1st innings. Gets the worst ball of the Test, could have hit it anywhere, but elects to hit it straight back to the bowler. I've been a big fan of Warner, but he really needs to take a long look at his approach right now.

Good innings by Handscomb and the much maligned Marsh to salvage a draw. For a side that was supposed to be whitewashed 4-0, this has been a good result.

Still some questions over the side but Handsconb and Renshaw have been pretty consistent in tough conditions.

In an earlier post, I said that Harbhajan was my most despised Indian cricketer. After this series, Kohli now heads that list by a long, long way. Great cricketer, but absolute turd. Judd-like.
I've got 'em both in my favourites, probably for the same reasons you despise them. Bhajji was a gun.

Steve Waugh, just sayin'...

Yeah, I get why you may think that way. A few years ago I thought Kohli was an arrogant ****, but then, grudgingly, developed great respect for hom as a result of his superb performances. Since he has taken over the captaincy, he is now just a ****. Still a great player, but a ****.

Steve Waugh, yep. But he was one of us, so it makes a difference. You can look past the faults. Totally get why fans in other countries may have despised him.

The thing is, cricket should not be played in this manner. Maybe I am just a relic from the past, but this sledging and antagonism really pisses me off. I do not think it is necessary.

I honestly think the media just make too much of it. Plenty of sledging going on since the year dot. It will all be forgotten soon and players are probably friendlier than they were in the old days due to playing more with each other in the various T20 comps.

I have always respected the opinions of Ed Cowan who seems to me to be a person of very high quality. He said the other night that "Yes, Kohli is one of the best batsmen in cricket. Yes, he plays the game in an aggressive manner, but that doesn't give him the right to carry on like a flog".

The tragedy for me was the series between India and Australia was one of the most compelling for many years and very enjoyable to watch. I have total admiration for the 11 Indian cricketers who collectively won the 4th Test. However, it's hard to be generous in your praise when you have a total tool like Kohli making the Test all about him, even though he wasn't even playing.

Kohli said it himself, about Smith. There's a line that should not be crossed, and Virat old boy, you crossed it. Therefore, I will never watch another cricket match where Kohli is involved. He offends me so much I struggle to find the words to express it.

The entire reason for his behaviour is before the series he thought he'd be making 100s of runs and winning the series 4-0. The moment he was challenged he turned to spitting poison, blaming pitches and tosses for his poor performances, and making false accusations against the Australians. At least Smith had the decency to apologise for his indiscretions, something you will never hear from the narcissistic Kohli. I detest the rodent.

You'll not watch another match where Kohli is involved? Seems a bit extreme, you'll be missing out.

outrage culture. media over-saturation.
I doubt it. There is plenty of cricket on offer around the world.

Yep, we only play India every now and then. Looking forward to the Ashes series next season where we can have villains like Anderson and Broad, who don't annoy the hell out of me. I can live quite happily without watching Kohli play cricket.

Fair enough, to each their own and so forth.

I'm struggling to believe you won't be watching their return tour the next summer.

Yes, a pity, but that's the way it is. I have followed Test cricket for over 50 years and enjoyed many great Indian players such as Bishen Bedi, etc. However, over the years I've had to endure annoying dickheads like Gavaskar, Harbhajan, Ganguly and Kohli, and I've had a gutful of antagonistic Indian cricketers who blame Australia for everything. I don't need it.
