So Klinger who went from fringe player at Vic to player of the year in one of the formats is also a dud?

How does that make him a dud? Klinger was a good player at Vic but turned into a great player when he was #1 for runs scored last season. Cowan however has always been a very average player and this is first notable score.

3 hundreds before his double ton makes him a dud.

Stop having a laugh. He has 3 first class hundreds before the double ton. If you are good enough to make 3 tons in the strongest shield comp in the world, you are not a dud player.

So Tasmania actively recruited a dud???

What a joke.

Good work E Cowan, keep smashing runs for the tigers!

You have obviously never played cricket at any level above the under 13Bs at school.

Actually, I played cricket well beyond that but yes I have given it up now.

I've got news for you mate, it gets harder as you move up through the levels.

Wut? 4 real??? No way!

To call a bloke who just made 225 in a Sheffield Shield match "shit" is just too stupid for words. Do us a favour and STFU, because you obviously have no freaking idea. Your good mate Tambaran can do the same.

He made 225 and well done to him but as I've said it's well overdue and it does not cancel out his previous shitty scores. Scoring 225 is a magnificent effort but career wise he has been a dud.

Got anything else to offer apart from "STFU, he made 225 therefore he cannot be critisized" ??

28 matches, 51 innings with an average of 31 is very average for an opening batsman.

3 centuries, 6 fifties. Therefore in his 51 innings he has scored less than 50 42 times.

If 80%+ of his career scores have been under 50 runs and he's not a dud, what is he exactly then?

So everyone just ignoring the fact we managed to take the last 5 wickets for less than 50 runs and keep them below 400? Or the fact Peter George took a record breaking 8/84? Ahk then, must be the wrong thread.
